For those of you who are Felicity fans, like myself and Blubirde, Felicity is now back on WE every weeknight at 5 & 6pm CT (6&7pm ET). Just thought I'd spread the wealth!

Now's a good time because they're probably all mid to late twenties now and full of more angst. Shall we relish in more Felicity memories? I'm still waiting for my Ben though. I wonder if he held doors open for Felicity? I'm sure Noel did. New question: why am I so decidely in love with this show? It makes no rationale sense..."
How does it make no sense to be in love w/this show? I never tried to ration it, I just loved it...it touched me. I posted this because I wanted to see if anyone else loves the show as much as you and me!
We can relish all you want..hopefully others will join in. I wonder what episodes are on WE tonight??!

me too! btw, the person who thought of putting old tv shows on dvd is probably like a gazillionaire! anyway, wanted to know what you all thought of the following--
my friend LOVES season 1 and thinks the show got progressively worse, like she doesn't love any season more than the first. agree or disagree--the first season was the best? i'm undecided.
same friend also thinks that time travel part at the end was "horrid", whereas i LOVED the concept, so original imo. but i think she should've gone back further. so good or bad--time travel concept?
and of course the great noel v. ben debate. i'm in the ben camp but did think noel was a sweetie, esp. at the end. hated that hannah girl though.
also, i have to admit to something--i haven't seen all the epi's, i was kind of an inconsistent watcher, which is why i got the dvd's but so far i haven't seen 'em all yet. from the ones i have seen, my favorite epi is the graduation...so sweet it made me cry. sniff, sniff.

I am with you on the Graduation episode being your favorite - the ending of that, where Ben comes for her, made me cry and cry! So sweet.
I think a lot of people think that when Felicity cut her hair, the show went downhill, but not for me, I loved all 4 seasons.
You know what I really didn't like about the whole back in time episodes and then the back to the future concept? That they should have ended Felicity w/the Gradution episode we love so much..that tied everything up perfectly - Ben finally came for her, etc, but then because they didn't know if the show was cancelled or not, they had to make more episodes..so they did that back in time thing, and I hated that they made Ben cheat on Felicity - ugh! All in all it ended the way it should have - w/Felicity and Ben together - I'm obviously in the Ben camp!
shopchicago, I KNOW! i just couldn't believe he would do that, so uncharacteristic of the new ben, you know? but do you remember that apology speech? everything a girl wants to hear, and in that oh-so-sexy voice...

1 - I LOVE the first season. I think it's the best. But that's because Felicity was much more innocent then and less sure of herself. I identified with that college experience more. I love all the other seasons, too though. But the first is def. the best.
2 - I also loved the concept of the time travel ep. I mean it may not have been the best television ever but it was definitely a fabulous way to answer all the questions for the fans. That ep. was for the fans, ya know? That's what made it so great. All in all it isn't one of my favorite episodes but it was still very satisfying to see how everything would have turned out no matter what.
3 - Noel vs. Ben. The dilemma of all time, no? Do you go with sweet, nice guy or sexy, passionate lover? Friend or lover? Which to choose? Go with your brain or your heart? I equate heart with sex, so I always choose the later, unfortunately. I always had a soft spot for Noel but in the end, like Felicity, it had to be Ben. It really wasn't fair though because Ben was infinitely hotter. It's gotta be Ben though. Plus Noel looked too much like her dad. And Hannah? Evil. Baaaaddd.
And almost every episode of Felicity made me cry. I identified with her life so much, sans the really hot men.

It's not that it's irrational to love the show. It's a great show. What's irrational is the degree to which I love the show. Really. I would rather sit at home with the dvds than go out to the funnest party in town. That's how it's irrational, ya see? Don't worry. I'm madly, truly, deeply in love with Felicity. Forever and Ever. Sigh. I NEED a reunion.
I need a reunion too! And don't feel bad Blubirde because there some days I'd be content to sit and home and watch my dvd's rather than go out - so you aren't alone.
And yes, Noel was the nice guy, the best friend, but Ben - God Ben. Who could resist him? I just loved him so much and always thought they belonged together from the start - he was, afterall, the entire reason Felicity went to college in NY!
hi, my name is roxy and i'm a felicity fan. omg, i LOVE this show.
the graduation episode is my favorite too, but a very close second is the final episode of season 1 (felicity was here/ben or noel?) . seasons 1 and 4 were the best, but all 4 seasons had a great thanksgiving episode. i'd love to watch a felicity thanksgiving marathon!
i liked how season 4 tried to recapture the magic of season 1. i was so happy when they brought back the "dear sally" tapes and the great montages. and how hilarious was megan? i loved the evolution of her character. every now and then, i want to bust out a "smoothase" joke, but i know that nobody will know what i'm talking about! in fact, it's hard to watch that guy on alias and not think of how funny he was as sean.
back to secretly watching episodes again and again on WE. thanks for the intel!

roxy - i had to laugh when I read your post - hi my name is roxy and I'm a felicity fan - it sounds like we are a support group for felicity fans anoynmous! I totally forgot about the 1st season finale - I second that - that has got to be my other favorite episode. I watch and rewwind that part where ben kisses felicity in order to convince her to go on the road trip w/him - I just love it! And I totally agree w/you about Sean - he rocked. That smoothase thing cracked me up! Remember the episode where he is pitching it to Ben at Dean & Deluca and ben says "smoothaise?" I love the way he says it - it cracks me up....Oh I could go on and on about this show!
I remember the condiment episode vividly - especially when he's running down his list of names at Dean and Deluca: "What about *Spice-orrio*???" (ole!)
How about the "next generation breakfast cereal"? What do you get when you bake the milk right into the O, and you just add water? Ben: "A really disgusting breakfast?"
I read in an interview with the cast once that Javier ad-libbed most of his lines and now everytime I watch any eps with him in them, I die laughing because you can see Keri Russell and Scott Speedman try not to crack up when he says the things he says. That guy was funny!
You know which episodes I didn't like? The ones where Ben had the gambling problem. They just disturbed me. First he was with stupid Julie and second wtf? But I did love the episode where Julie played at the open-mike night and sang that song "tell me tell me tell me" tra la la, whatever the rest was. That was a good song.
Oh, and hi roxy. My name is blubirde and I, too, am a Felicity fan.
And you can bust out a smoothase joke on me any day.
One more thing. Did anyone ever figure out what Elaina's secret M&M study thing was? I wish I knew it. I bet it would really help out. I, too, find chocolate, yummy goodness to be a good reward for a job well done.

haha - nope I don't think they ever did explain that one - LOL. I loved the scenes w/Javier, Ben, and Felicity. You could totally tell that they really did want to laugh, that that wasn't acting at all. I loved whenever Javier made Ben uncomfortable by touching him or pretending to flirt w/him. Remember the episode where Javier pretend Ben was his boyfriend and kissed him on the cheek? LOL.
This is the best thread I've ever started - I could talk about this show for hours.
