Posting from work because I have no Internet at home (more on that later). Thought I'd give y'all an update on my Move From Hell. I was supposed to be moving on Tuesday, but we found out MONDAY NIGHT that our buyers' lender didn't run their credit until (oooops!) the last minute. Their loan is now delayed until this Tuesday.
The poor people we're buying our new house FROM have to close on *their* house today, or else they lose a $10,000 deposit. They are trying to get another loan to cover their down payment since they won't have our money until Tuesday (we can't pay them until we get paid). We went to their house on Tuesday and apologized, even though it isn't our fault (all our loan stuff was completely done last week). In any case, if they don't get their loan today, I am probably not going to move at all, since they won't be able to sell their house.
In the meantime, everything I own is in boxes in my in-laws' garage (it was in a Uhaul, waiting to be moved, but Uhaul wanted their truck back). I have no clothes at all, except what I wore in Seattle last weekend (50 degree weather...it's 90 here). I am chaperoning Prom on Saturday and I had to buy a dress to wear since I can't get to anything I own. We're sleeping on a mattress and we have no food (we'd cleaned out our fridge). On top of it all, we still don't KNOW if we're moving or not!
To top it all off, the dumbass who's buying my house forgot to cancel all the installation of his stuff. So Cox came out the other day and installed his Digital Telephone and disconnected my Internet (even though I'd called them and explained the situation). I asked for it to be reinstated, and they won't do it unless they get the guy's permission, even though he doesn't own the house! I am so pissed it's not even funny.
If you made it this far, congrats. And know that real estate is the Devil's Work.

Just talked to my husband...the real estate agent says that our sellers were able to get their extra loan, so we can move, hopefully next Wednesday! YAY!
Keep your fingers crossed that nothing else goes wrong, as it inevitably has. I won't be around much until next week since I don't have the Inet at home. Here's a fun bonus: I found out that Cox also made sure that our phone number was disconnected and the new people's line installed. How NICE of them!

sorry I am so late in replying to this. I hope you feel better, and I am sending you good vibes...
Think about this: things can get only better from now on!
Sorry to hear about your mess, but glad to see it seems to be getting better.
I helped my mom unpack a bunch of stuff yesterday and next week my dad's fiance's daughter is moving and then we'll be bringing out the rest of our stuff from one house to the other. Good luck with your move
