I've already raved about this on facebook, but I wanted to see what people thought of it.
Did the writers totally not know what to do with Starbuck or how to explain her character's resurrection? Did you like her just vanishing away at the end, when she and apollo finally had a chance to be together? What was your interpretation of the whole thing? Ghost? Angel?
Lots of great previews last night - the two spinoff series Caprica and BSG: New Plan, along with Warehouse 13 and the Wolverine and Star Trek movies. Looking forward to them.
Strange random flashbacks last night that didn't really contribute much. The president sleeping with her hot student, Starbuck almost sleeping with apollo with his brother/her fiance passed out on the couch, Adama puking on himself outside the strip joint.
Speaking of the strip joint. The show went four years, and they decided it wasn't complete without adding a strip joint in the very last episode. Why? To be like every other show with the strip joint cliche? To undermine the feminist feel of the show (strong female characters in leadership positions) by reminding us that...what, exactly? Women are the sexual underclass in the future, as well? Very disappointed in this part of it, as it contributed nothing to the show.
I was SO DISAPPOINTED. Seriously, BSG is my favorite show on TV and I did not like what happened to the fleet at the end (trying to avoid lots of spoilers). It was completely out of character and very hard to believe that they would make that choice.
