Anyone have an XBox 360?

We have an XBox 360 but I actually don't remember which one we got. I do recall that my boyfriend and I had the same problem with deciding if the larger hard drive was necessary. I remember something about how only certain versions came in the black so if it helps, we have the white one. I would suggest though, getting an extra wireless controller. Most versions only came with one wireless controller and it's really helpful to have an extra one just in case you want to play something with him. And buy lots of batteries! Depending on how much you play, the batteries could wear out every week. I remember that when we first got it and I would play for a couple of hours and than the BF would play for a couple hours each day, we were going through batteries really fast.

Thanks! I think that elite one is in black. I don't think color matters or at least I hope it doesn't. I have noticed the battery thing with our Wii as one set is already run completely down and need to be replaced. I think I might just get the arcade one as that is the one my brother got and he hasn't complained about it being too small or anything. Mike only has like 10 games for his PS2 and has yet to fill up his memory card there. i'm sure the XBox won't be too much different - his game playing and the number of them he has to save.

Goodness I don't remember my handbag being this difficult to buy when I passed years ago. And they say girls are the complicated ones! LOL

Congrats to him! That's so sweet of you to give him this nice suprise.

I got my BF the Pro version for Christmas a couple of years ago because I got a great deal on a bundle. However, the guy at Best Buy said that unless he is a "serious gamer," the Arcade version has enough memory that it should suit his needs just fine. BF's friend has the Arcade version... he thinks it's just fine. I also highly recommend that you get (or tell him to get) a charger for the controllers. Like relrel, my BF would go through batteries like crazy until he got one. They have them at Best Buy for ~$30 I think. I actually had this same problem with my Wii remotes too.

I'm with Sandy - the arcade version is fine and definitely pick up a charging cord for the wireless controllers.

Thanks guys. I do want to clarify that he'll be paying for it, I'm just picking it up as a surprise for him. :) I've been finding batteries pretty cheap at batteries.com but I'll look into the charging stations.
