I got my hair colored!
Permalink Closed

Yesterday I had an appt for a hair color - the salon called me in the am to tell me my hairdresser doesn't work there anymore!!

So I took a gamble on someone new...she did something funky. The parts she colored are underneath dark hair - so NO roots!!! and I can create different looks by showing more or less of the colored part...here are some pics...

thoughts?

(I still have to get used to styling my new cut - so its a little blah here)

Okay, that happened to me once(the hairdresser left, I showed up for appt and she was gone. ) No one bothered to call me though.
Two things:
1. Your hair looks great. I love it.
2. Ummm, aren't you one of the cute pregnant people in threadstyle? You don't look pregnant. I mean most people gain weight in their face don't they? Wow. You look great.

I might have to steal it, too! I never thought of the underneath coloring idea so you don't have to worry about roots. Mine are big and chunky like yours but right smack there on top, so you can tell if they need to be done.

Your hair looks fab!!!!

It's cool. Right now I have bright blonde on top and a dark reddish brown under. I have layers of top so the dark shows through.  I like things that are a little different! I'm getting my hair done next weekend....yeah! Maybe I'll post pics.

I like it!  Putting the color under the hair is such a smart idea, especially with such bold highlights.  I think the color is great for you, it adds a ton of dimension and interest to your hair.  Yay for hair therapy - it's the best.

I really like that. It's like Alex on The OC (but not purple). I always thought hers was cool how she could show it different ways and use it to highlight different hairstyles.

Very cute! That is what I have been doing for a little while. My colorist called it "blocking". Depending on where I part my hair I can make it look different. It is great for roots. I get fire engine red, so my roots show up pretty quickly and this is great. I can usually go a little longer between getting my hair colored.

Have fun w/ it.

Funny you should say that - the colorist wanted to do purple, but I have a convention next week with a bunch of suits so I decided against it - BUT I am BRAVE and would totally do that...maybe in the fall!! (Ill have to check out the OC I never watch it)

I really really like this haircolor on you! In theory, if you had explained it to me, I probably would have been like "What?!" but it looks very good!

I think it's fun! A little beauty treat while you wait for the baby.
