What items in your makeup bag do you put on everyday? I don't wear anything but lipgloss and eyeshadow(sometimes) but I want to start wearing a little more.
Also, this may be a silly question but what is the diff. between a tinted moisturizer, foundation and bronzers?
My everyday routine consists of lip balm, mascara & brow pencil/powder. However, the makeup bag in my handbag consists of lip balm, blotting papers, a nail file & dental floss.
As far as foundations & tinted moisturizers, it depends on the brand. I found that some brands make formulas that contain SPF & are sheer, which aren't moisturizing @ all. The only TM I've tried is by Dr. Dennis Gross, which is amazing. It covered like a sheer foundation, but moisturized my skin w/out breaking me out.
A bronzer can be in liquid, creme or powder (pressed & loose) form. If applied correctly, it'll give a healthy glow & make you look like you were on vacation. If applied improperly, it can make you look worse than a circus clown. Best I've tried are Armani Sheer Bronzer #1 (pressed) & Bonne Bell Glimmer Bronze in Gold n Glitz (loose). Both create a nice tan w/out looking fake.
kiehl's baby lip balm- $7.50 (a little melty but most moisturizing balm i've found)
Fresh lip shine in Sari- $18 (goes on as a very sheer red-coral with a little bit of shimmer, super pretty and easy to wear- I don't usually look good in corals but this is very nice)
OR
Rimmel Vinyl Lip in Snog- $4-5 I love this. Sold at Wal-mart and is a really pretty mauve color that looks really good on my skin tone.
Fresh Stage Door Pallette- $48- The only eyeshadow I use nowadays because it's so convenient
Revlon cream blush in First Blush- $10- perfect flushed look. It is hard to wear with a strong eye or lip though unless you wear it really sheer, I like to use it by itself to give me some color
Rimmel Extra Super lash (I forget the exact name)- $2- Similar to Clinique's naturally glossy (my old fave) but much cheaper. Found at Wal-Mart.
Tinted Moisturizer is sheer while foundation is heavier and more correcting. I wear Stila Tinted Moisturizer every day because I don't have lots of pimples to cover up and the moisturizer covers up the red on them. Its great.
Dior Show Mascara
Stila Tinted Moisturizer
Nars Orgasm or Stila pushup in Berry Flash
Benefit Bebe Cakes
Stila lip glaze in grapefruit or amarreto
Benefit Lemonaid
Multiple eyeshadows right now Urban Decay sin and too faced ego or urban decay stalker and stila cassia.
I am a makeup addict against my will, but alas I have a ton of tiny red spots (acne scars) that I am terribly embarrassed about.
I have all of this in my makeup bag because I put my makeup on when riding the bus on the way to work (yeah, I know...)
Shiseido the Makeup stick foundation (O60 during the summer, O40 during the winter)
Shiseido eyelash curler (the best!!)
Nars blush in Orgasm and blush brush
MAC Shadestick in Sharkskin (eyeliner)
tons of lipgosses because I'm a Gemini and must indulge all my moods (MAC Lustreglass in Spring Bean, Valerie Beverly Hills Lip Shine in Valentine, Dr. Pepper LipSmacker, Philosophy Kiss Me Pink and Red)
few baby wipes
I know I need a mascara, but the only mascara that I've ever liked was Shu Uemura's and I still can't bring myself to buy $27 mascara every three months so I go without.
But the day I have perfect skin, I will never wear foundation again. I may even try to skip blush, since I have a good amount of red in my complexion.
On a normal day, I use: Neutrogena foundation or Mark tinted moisturizer, Mark cream blush stick, Loreal super thick mascara that I don't know the name of, and MAC gloss.
On a day when I'm "stepping it up" I use: the above plus Mac Paramount lipstick or Chanel Red gloss, MAC brown eyeliner and 2 eyeshadows (my favorites are the cream-colored pigment color and "Club" shadow, but I also have a metallic blue pallette for smoky eyes) and sometimes individual fake eyelashes.

Beauticontrol Wet/Dry powder - I wear it dry and only use it on my chin and nose usually
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage - I don't wear this every single day but I do most days because it rocks! I use it on dark circles under my eyes (when I need it) and almost everyday to cover up a little red spot on my face that I'm certain the whole world stares at!
Eyeshadows - varies; right now I'm using Sonia K from Target for a base color (usually use Stila Kitten - the best! but I'm out right now); lorac lilac or reverie for lid color; dark brown or plum or grey or black for smudged eyeliner (I hardly ever go without smudged eyeshadow for eyeliner - I look dead without it)
DiorShow mascara - so fab
Shu Umera eyelash curler (or is it Shisheido?) - never leave home without curled eyelashes, mascara, and lipstick
Clinique blush of some sort or a Sephora bronzing pressed powder (it's got great color, is cheap, and sparkles)
L'Oreal Endless Color lipstick
In my bag: Bobbi Brown case with lipglosses and eyeshadows in it; Rose Salve; a Covergirl powder (that I never use); and assorted lip glosses to go with whatever I feel like
