Starwood Aloft-"budget" W hotel?

Has anyone stayed in an Aloft hotel?  Apparently, it is Starwood's "budget" W hotel.  I just booked a room  for my parents in Nashville and was wondering if anyone has  any reviews of this chain yet?

We have one where I live and while I haven't stayed there I have been to the lounge for drinks after work. It is still very nice and keeps with the W feel.

Yup, we stayed there one night in December. It was nice, minimalist, but nice.

We just got one in Charlotte.  It opened last month.  I didn't know that they advertise Aloft as a "budget" hotel.  To me, the minimalism or spare quality to the rooms is all part of their effort to lure younger, urban travelers who appreciate funky, frugality-via-minimalism lodging that encourages extroversion and fun.
