Ed Hardy? Yay or Nay?
Permalink Closed

Senor Whiskers and I recently spent SuperBowl weekend in Las Vegas.

I couldn't help but notice Ed Hardy designs.

People were wearing it everywhere, both men and women, on sneakers, bags, and t-shirts.

Do you like Ed Hardy?  Discuss.

I personally am not a fan. I find it very "Bro-ho" ( a term used where I live ). It is very expensive for mass produced tatoo designs ... Here in CA it has been around for quite awhile and I am so over seeing it everywhere!

My senior manager was talking about them the other day. Apparently that is what his wife wanted and he had a time finding the right pair in the right size. Not exactly my style but I can see the appeal.

Not for me. It's also way overexposed here in L.A.

It's one of those things that's so distinctive - like giant logos on one's handbag or on one's rear end - that it's a turnoff to me, and verges on tacky no matter how popular or expensive it may be.

Nay.

I'm first in line to appreciate a great tattoo design, but this I do not get at all.

If you do like it SmartBargains has a lot of tee shirts right now, $40-$60.

I'm not a fan, nor is it a look I can pull off.

Ugh!  So tired of boys buying Ed Hardy shirts and thinking they are stylin'.  My roommate is a classic example of this.

I personally don't find it attractive, but some of the graphics are interesting in their own right.  the jeans are not flattering on women at all IMO (at least the ones I've seen!)

I like the pictures themselves, but for the most part I don't think they translate well to shirts, belts, etc. I want to like it but I just don't if that makes any sense.

Generally I'm not an Ed Hardy fan. However, my sister's fiance wears these tees all. the. time. I cannot imagine life without seeing him wearing an Ed Hardy t-shirt. They're so him... somehow, he pulls it off without looking like he's trying to be cool or trendy. I guess the designs just suit his personality.

I have never liked the style.  I think it's fine for people who are rock musicians or something, but here in Dallas it's really overdone and worn by a particular type of male that has no true-to-himself style, is FAR from a rock star, and that I cannot stand.  Gives me the ick, personally.  And too expensive for what it is.

SO overdone. and so lame in my opinion. If I want to look like I have a tattoo I'll get one, thanks for the tee though!!!
