What styles do you just not "do" or things don't work on your body so you know to avoid them?
Here are mine:
1. The color navy... it's like black's frumpy, boring sister. I have 1 navy polo and skirt but I try to add as much color as possible.
2. Pantyhose when I can because I usually can only wear them once before I run them.
3. Ankle straps with skirts/dresses because they cut off my legs and make them look stumpy. I just ordered a pair of tie espadrilles with a thin ribbon so maybe these will be different.
4. Anything with that's low rise because it accentuates my abnormally long torso.
5. 98% of one piece bathing suits because of the torso issues.
6. White shoes because I'm not a fan.
7. Racerback bras because I hate them.
8. Bermuda shorts. They are cute on some people but I look like a frump.
9. Hats because my head is too big.
10. Anything too logo-y. However I could never get sick of the Chanel logo and that's the only one.
*boots tucked into jeans. it accentuates the largest part of my body (my thighs) and while i have jeans that minimize my thighs, they make my butt look flat so it's like i can't win.
*drop waist stuff. same reason as above.
*puffy sleeves/shoulder pads/any shirt that has a lot going on in the shoulder area. my shoulders are on the broad side and all the extra details make me look like a linebacker. this actually makes me sad b/c i really like puffy sleeves, and there was the cutest puff sleeved denim jacket at the gap that i couldn't get b/c i just looked too boxy in it.
1. Spaghetti straps make my upper arms look big. I always have to wear something else over camisoles. Actually, I prefer 3/4 sleeves above anything else.
2. Mini skirts - never in a million years, thank you very much!
3. Ankle straps or flats, because my ankles are too thick, to be honest.
4. Turtlenecks are too uncomfortable and hide my beautiful long neck! V-necks make me look a lot more graceful.
Red Most pinks Most blues (except jeans) Jeans tucked into boots Mini skirts Spaghetti straps Bootcut jeans Straight leg jeans Turtlenecks Shorts Hair accessories Pencil skirts Midriff baring shirts Tunic length tops Baggy tops Flats Fur Logos Popped collars Anything Paris Hilton would wear
* jeans w/ wiskering at the hips - that is the widest point of my body, the last thing I want to do is draw attention to it. * bermuda shorts * long skirts * metallic bags - i just DO NOT like them.
There are a ton of other things that just don't appeal to me - anything w/ a logo, skinny jeans, jeans in lighter washes, belly baring tops, white shoes, tweed shoes...
I LOVE preppydom and would be a prep, but I look like a poser when I try to dress preppy. I love Lilly Pulitzer prints, especially the crazy animal ones, but I just don't look like a Lilly kinda girl.
Tons of companies are inconsiderate when making camis and other tops that have seaming below the bust. I usually can't wear them because my boobs are too big.
Long skirts: they overwhlem my body since I'm short and curvy and make me look super short and squatty.
My style is too urbanite edgy for 50% of Anthro's supergirly clothes, which makes me sad. I'd look really stupid if I tried to wear girly girly stuff all the time.
I have a short neck, so a lot of larger necklaces, turtlenecks, and a bunch of other things are completely out of the question.
My hair is super thick so I can't use very many hair accessories.

i completely agree! i HATE that. i don't think my boobs are all that big, but i can never wear tops like that- the seam goes right across the twins.
others:
anything that hits me below the knee (around mid calf)- i'm short and curvy and look like a tree stump when i wear things that length.
super lowrise pants- because i don't want the world to know whether or not i've been keeping up with my bikini waxes!
short shirts- my torso is a little long and i hate having to fidget/pull my shirts down!
cowl neck shirts- i feel too old in them.
most hats- my head is kinda big (blushing)
and, the worst is strappy heels/shoes- i want to be able to wear them SO BAD, but i have wiiiiide feet and it's too uncomfortable. plus it looks ridiculous. this might be a blessing in disguise because i'd probably have twice as many shoes if i could fit into everything i like!
Any kind of hat, but especially baseball caps. This is kind of a good thing because I have never in my life felt compelled to skip doing my hair and throw a cap on over it.
Short shirts. They make my hips look too wide. I need my shirts to come down near my hips.
Tube tops or strapless tops. I always have to pull them back into place and I don't think it is attractive to be adjusting your top all day.
Ankle strap shoes with skirts (they make my legs look fat)
Bathing suits. They are just not flattering on me.
Tops where the seam is below the boobs. Same reason as Lilykind and SFCaliGirl. And I absolutely cringe when I see someone else wearing one and the seam goes across their boobs. That should have been on my faux-pas list for the other poll. EW!

I hate it when tops do that, also tops with a built-in "shelf" because they never fit and it's like the company presumes your boobs must be that size... grr!
