Here's a look that is very typical of me in the summer...
Big jewelery, bright colors, flowy skirt, flip flops. I've been doing this for years, way before boho was "in." I always have a hard time dressing myself in the winter cause I usually wear clothes that look like I live in Mexico or something.
if left to my own devices, i would pretty much wear something along these lines every single day. in the summer i substitute flip-flops for the boots, and lose the hoodie.
Cool thread. I didn't realize how consistent I am with my looks until the other day. I was walking with DH and he pointed to a girl and said, "Look, she stole your style."
I'm usually fairly girly...My favorite is a simple top, jacket, printed skirt (usually a line, knee lenght) and heels or boots. Here's an example, the jacket isn't really the right color, but that military style is one I consistently go with.
And when I go out at night for dinner, or dates, I'm famous for wearing an outfit like this-
And I carry my Chanel (which was a gift) pretty much everywhere-
I really don't dress age-appropriate. Most of my friends wear things from Forever 21 or Wet Seal, but I'm pretty different, which sucks, because nobody really appreciates what I wear.
Well I like to be girly and trendy...I layer ALOT. Usually frilly camis/tops pairs with shrugs or blazers and jeans or cropped pants to show of cute pumps. As for handbags, I am usually drawn to colorful leather hobos. I am sooo predictable
hmm..I don't think I really have one signature look. And it's weird, but I feel most comfortable with my look when I'm not even thinking about my clothes and not even really wearing something nice- i.e. a pair of jeans and a plain white tee. Not even good accessories, lol. I don't really post such outfits in stylethread because they are hardly inspirational. I think I most identify with kind of kitschy/campy looking clothing. Like the girl (Marguerite Moreau) in Wet Hot American Summer or the girls in Dazed and Confused (Milla Jovovich). Denim cut off shorts with my mom's three quarter length white/red plaid button down shirt from the 70's. Aviators. My hair parted in the middle. Lip gloss. Anything kelly green or with unicorns on it. Not abercrombie, but not the opposite of it either...just sort of young and rebellious/yet good girl and quirky. I like Marguerite Moreau (I always wanted to look like her) and Liv Tyler/Alicia Silverstone in the Aerosmith video.
Fashiony me might not wear that bag with that sweater- not enough contrast. Regular me- eh, i like the bag, i like the top, i'll just wear them together.
I guess my style is sort of classic with a twist - I try to add color or something fun to liven things up, but I am cautious in terms of wearing trendy things even though I'm attracted to them.
casual - with color or something unusual on top to break it up:
I am feeling lazy and don't want to find pictures. Changes a lot from depending on the time of year but lately I've been wearing:
to work: dress pants or knee length skirt, sleeveless top, cardi or cropped blazer, heels (always- I am too short!!)
on weekend: jeans, tunic top or beater under a blazer, heels or wedges
I almost always carry a big bag (I like to lug around a lot of stuff), fairly conservative jewelry (diamonds or pearls), and scarves (either as a headband or around my neck). Usual colors for me are deep pink/rose/coral, green, and purple.
