I'm not sure if some of our t.v.'s are digital or not, but I guess it doesn't matter since we have satellite. We can't get regular t.v. without the satellite, but I wonder if that would change once everything goes digital....
Yep, it's true there aren't anymore coupons left :(
I haven't gotten ready at all. But I don't really watch TV much - I get like 3 channels. I just use it to watch movies and play video games
well, you should be set then! regardless, I'm hoping that there are some deals to be had on the converter boxes. I really don't want to rent another one from our cable provider for our second tv...

I think it only applies to people who use rabbit ears or antennae to get their TV signal. If you use a cable box or satellite you will be ok. Anyway, that's what the millions of commercials playing in our area say.

Yep that is correct. Anyone who has a newer tv (lcd, plasma, and even the older bigger tvs made within the past couple years or so) will be fine using just rabbit ears. However, if you have cable or satellite even better. They are already sending digital signals to your tv.
The main concern is for older people or individuals in rural areas that do not have new tvs or satellite or cable. They are the ones that need the conversion boxes. Unfortunately, a lot of people scooped up coupons they didn't need and the people that need them ended up not getting them. However, most television stations have a lot of coupons and may have some leftover that they can pass out to their viewers that will need them.
*My mom runs a television station and has been working on this for years. =)

we don't really have many commercials covering the digital switch here, but there is a set time you can watch your tv to confirm it's recieving digital signals and I keep missing it!

I think for the low income people it would be really very difficult to switch to digital..Because digital TV equipmens are very costly..I think goverment should provide some discount on these equipments..
