For me, it usually happens around midnight on pay day. And depends where your company headquarters are. So, I work in NY and my company's headquarters are in Chicago, I don't usually get paid until around 1 am EST.

i used to get direct deposited the day before pay day at my old company, but now it's on the actual day. i think all companies are different.

my company and i use the same bank- so i end up getting the check the day before i get paid. but- when i was waiting on my first pay- i figured that a 1/3 of it would go to taxes and i was right on. so you can pretty much figure it that way.

My money is always in there when I wake up on payday. I just never really knew what time it actually goes in there. I swear I have sometimes seen it in there at around 5pm the day before and sometimes later than that.

I ended up going to bed at 12am and it wasn't there yet. It was there when I woke up at 7:30. The raise turned out to be about midway between my best-case and worst-case scenarios.
