online wine shops?

anyone have any recommendations?  wine.com and several of the "biggies" don't ship to SC.  i'd love to find an decent shop with a good selection of west coast reds.

I use wineexpress.com. I signed up for their daily emails and they have some great specials. I'm not sure if they ship to SC or not.

The better wine stores generally ship. One of my favorite local wine stores ships everywhere it is allowable - www.whwc.com. Another good one here is www.wallywine.com. Also www.winecask.com has a good selection; they're in Santa Barbara. And there's a place in OC, www.hitimewine.net, that is absolutely HUGE.

There's always www.bevmo.com, which is a big retail chain, but they don't have anything that isn't mass produced.

You might get better deals from the actual wineries you're interested in. We occasionally do this.

If your state is one of those that doesn't allow any direct shipping through regular channels (USPS, Fedex, etc.) then I don't think any that are outside of your state will help. Some of these laws are ridiculously antiquated IMO.

thanks suasoria.  i usually buy from the vinyards themselves, which i like to do, especially for the discount!  but i have been searching so i could get a case of different bottles.  i'm going to check out all of your sites.  thanks again!

Bumping up an old post. :)

I ordered beer from Shoppersvinyard.com before and everything was quick and easy. Shipping sucks but if they have what you want you can sometimes overlook it.
