This is a view of Quito, Ecuador from Cafe Mosaico where we had dinner. One of my favorite experiences during the trip. Food was okay, but the view as well as several hot lemon and amaretto drinks were fabulous! Speaking of which, I need to buy some lemons and amaretto. I think the drink is simply a shot of amaretto, juice of a lemon, and hot water - yum! yum! yum!

This was shot on the lawn outside our hotel on Lake Titicaca (Puno, Peru.) Yes, they are guinea pigs runnin' wild. I happened to catch the little baby one leaping in this shot. They're skittish little buggers, and for good reason -- they are the national dish of Peru.... (sorry, Kitty! and no, I didn't eat any!)

It really was a super cool trip. We organized the whole thing on our own too. We were really happy with our lodging, transportation, and itinerary selections -- I'd be more than happy to share the trip plan with you since it was a lot of work and I'd love for someone else to benefit from it!

These shots are stunning! I love your photos of Machu Piccu - the lighting somehow makes them look very spiritual. And the Galapagos tortoises! So cool! I want to go so badly now. So glad it worked out so well.
