Just wondering if anyone was still on the bandwagon. I made it another weekend without buying anything. Unfortunately it hasn't been to hard to walk out of the stores without anything I need to get out of here and shop somewhere else!
I didn't buy anything this weekend, except for food.
Though I did post all that stuff from La Redoute that I like and I currently have about $250 worth of clothes in my shopping cart.
I know I need to save money for my trip to France at the end of May but I'm also already worrying about what to pack and thinking about how I'll need to get some cute, comfy warm weather shoes. Maybe I'll look through my spring clothes tonight to try to reassure myself that I already have plenty of stuff that I can wear.
I'm still on the bandwagon but I was bad over the weekend. I found a beautiful D&G pink tweed blazer with gorgeous huge round rhinestone encrusted buttons on the clearance racks for only $83 (marked down from $695!). What was I doing digging through the clearance racks?? Good question, I was going through withdrawal and had to be near some clothes and it totally backfired on me. Anyway, to make myself feel better, I am deducting the $83 from my Chicago shopping fund and there will be no more shopping between now and March 10!

i have been pretty good. mostly b/c i have been too busy to go near any stores. last week while running errands, i was really good. after returning something a few doors down from the gap, i started walking toward gap to check out sale stuff and actually stopped myself, turned around and walked back to the car. then i pulled into a parking space at old navy and decided to leave without even getting out of the car. i was pretty proud of myself, until...
the next day i broke down. went to old navy and bought 2 shrugs (on sale for $10 each) and that tie front cardi.
this weekend i only bought a pair of shoes at marshall's that i had been wanting for months and they were only $11 now.
i have been trying to be good. closing time is coming soon on my apt and i know i'll need every last dollar. i looked into movers this weekend and was surprised at how affordable they were! the packing materials are going to be another story. i think i may have to buy $150 in packing supplies :(
i didn't even buy that much food this weekend (trying to cut down on pricey trips to gourmet food markets and places like whole foods). i am determined to get rid of everything in my pantry before i move!! even that weird thai noodle mix that's been collecting dust for two years now (i might throw that away).
