I am having a surprise Ladies Luncheon for my mom for her 50th birthday. I was looking at cake places and came across these really cute mini cakes, one for each person. Then I had a brilliant idea since I like to a. save money and b. be creative c. try to bake... I want to make my own mini cakes for everyone. Here's my idea:
Cook 2 flavors and sizes of cupcakes (mini vanilla and regular size chocolate) Then I will frost the mini ones in pink and the chocolate ones in green and decorate with the opposite colors on each one. Then I'll place a mini one on top of a regular size one and viola; mini cake! I only have to make about 15 of each so that's a total of 30 cupcakes. Not totally overambitious, right? I just wanted it to be more personal then buying a premade cake. Thoughts?
