yeah, so, shop intuition SUCKS. I ordered the True Religion Joeys sometime in, oh, January and hadn't heard anything about my order for a few weeks, except an email confirming my order. so i call and the girl is all, "oh, yeah, we won't be getting those until the end of march" - all casual and chirpy. WTF...MARCH? don't you think if an order will not be shipped for 3 months after the order date that you might want to send out an email or a discount or something? that is really ridiculous. however, i didn't cancel my order b/c i got such a great deal using the luckymag code. although really i should have just bought them at neimans when i tried them on months ago. they suck.
The store is bad news. it's a bit of a dump first of all and doubtful that any famous person actually shops there - do you ever see anybody photographed in the store? never. you do all the time at kitson. there's a reason for this. the store is actually located out away from everything, in a bit of a dead, sort of seedy area. not bad area, just not upscale in any way, shape or form, at least compared to places like studio city, robertson, etc. People do not ever say, "I've got to run to Intuition" here. It's just not what everybody thinks it is.
the owner's a bit notorious for being a snake - there's always talk about her fairly questionable relationships with the media, and believe me, i know for a fact there is some shady stuff going on there. not to mention she was recently quoted in the LA times on how she actually just sends celebrities free stuff in exchange for the go ahead to say that they got it from her - i mean, that's a far cry away from it being the big favorite store that everybody shops in. In fact, I do not know one person who even goes there. She's notorious for customer service problems - not just 1 or 2 but probably a good 80% of the people that I have heard buy from there have major problems with them. I myself have had incidents buying from them. I refuse to now.
the store is just bad news - lots of complaints to the Better Business Bureau and I know some girls are talking about telling editors at the magazines about the customer service and lying and all that that goes on there. half the time they don't even have the stuff in stock that's on the site. it's sad, but until intuition cleans up it's act, it's just a risk to shop there.
it's too bad too because they get some cute stuff on the site.

I have to agree with mischiefandmayhem...Intuition is a f**ked up operation.
The only reason I've ever really gone is because I don't live far away from the store (maybe 5 mins), but it's not really close to anything (except McDonalds...). It's not on some glitzy street. They make it sound like it's some little cute tucked away place in West LA, and while it's certainly tucked away...well, it's not cute. About the size of a closet and about as messily arranged as my apartment (that is to say, not clean). It's a bit like a mini-warehouse, really. And then there are the snobby salesgirls, one of which I believe is the owner's daughter. I had a GREAT salesgirl once who was so super-sweet and really helpful but she quit (gee, I wonder why...). Plus, the stock doesn't move very fast at all. And the only people who really frequent the store are those who've heard about it in the magazines and are checking it out. Heck, that's what I was a year ago, and then I discovered why people don't come back.
They have their online warehouse in a separate place 10 minutes away from the store and somehow, the store and the warehouse can never seem to be in decent communication with each other. So weird.
Oh yeah apparently I'm on the Intuition shopping list and you're supposed to get discounts and everything. I've never gotten so much as a 5% discount from them. So odd, they make you give them your email so they can spam you with all the stuff that they don't really have.
I was surprised that Lucky offered the code...it was tempting. So sorry to hear about your bad luck, DCS.
I ordered 2 shirts from them on Jan 18th and still did not receive them yet! I called them yesterday to ask about the status of my order and they put me on hold for 8 mins. They claim that there getting in a shipment in this week and should send my order out next week. WTF? i had to wait a month for my order! If the products are not availble yet then why put it up online???? Its so freaking annoying!
You just have to really, really push them. Tell them you will call up the magazines they're in and tell them how terrible they are. I did that and they had my necklace that was supposedly going to take weeks to me in a matter of a few days.
SOOO...my order that i placed early January finally arrived at my house on march 2nd. WTF?? it took 2 months for them to process and ship my shirts. i used a coupon code at the time i ordered the tops which deducted 25% off my total order which went through fine. I look at my invoice and they charged my full price for both shirts. Not only that...but i dont like either of the tshirts i ordered!!! So now ihave to ship them back.
Most stores will send a shipping confirmation notice or at least communicate with customers that certain items may be back ordered or unavalible. But NOOOO...these people at Shop intuition seem so irresponsible and could care less for their customers. I am never going to order from them again...which is hard because i really like some of their shades.
I placed an order on January 24th. I kind of forgot about it and then called to check on it about three weeks ago. The girl told me that it would be about a week. I haven't received it yet so I called again and the SA said "Oh, I don't know if we're even going to be getting this item." WTF? I can't believe they have stuff on the site that isn't (and will never be) stocked. Obviously I will not order anything else from them. So frustrating and I really loved the tank I ordered, too!
