I can't stand looking overdone and everytime I wear a necklace I take my earings off and vice versa.  I feel like I can't pull the too much, big, bold jewlery look.  Yet...I love bold jewlery on everyone else.  Just wondering your thoughts on this.

I usually just wear necklaces and bracelets. I am not a big earing person, If I am going to wear earings and a necklace both have to be very simple pieces.

i usually wear both at the same time. but my earrings are almost always simple hoops.  if i'm wearing an ornate pair of earrings then i'll skip the necklace. but i'll never give up earrings. i feel naked without them.

I have diamond studs I wear almost all the time - including with necklaces - but the necklace usually has to work with the earrings - if I wear a necklace I wear studs that coordinate in some way or are very subtle.

If I wear earrings that are big or dangly and make a noticable statement on their own, I don't wear a necklace.

my usual everyday jewelry is diamond studs, watch, wedding set or just the band, diamond tennis bracelet and often a ring on my right hand (I have tons of rings - that's what I change up the most)

If I had pierced ears I would wear big earrings and necklaces; I'm a fan of flashy jewelry. However, I do not have pierced ears so i stick with necklaces.

I wear them all...necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings - just not all at once.

I usually don't wear necklaces and bracelets at the same time.  If I'm doing a bracelet I'll wear it with earrings.  If my necklace is pretty attention-getting I'll wear small silver hoops or my diamond studs with it.  And if I've got a statement-making ring on, no bracelet, but I *might* do a co-ordinating necklace or earrings (no sets though; I hate to be totally matchy).

I design jewelry for a living, and have loved it since I was a little girl, so I don't feel "dressed" if I leave the house without *something* on.  My wardrobe is pretty streamlined, not fussy - the better to show off the jewelry!

I think bold jewelry - unless you are really, really petite (and even then, I know some petite ladies who break that rule and get away with it very well) - is more about confidence than anything else.  If you are comfortable in it, you'll wear it, instead of it wearing you.  I love nothing better than long, dangling earrings, and only resort to my studs if I am doing a fancy necklace.  I live in the south and often women are conservative here - they'll tell me, "I could never wear longer earrings".  I tell them I used to feel the same way, but once I got hooked, I never really went back to studs (which is true, in my former life I was shy and wore conservative jewelry).  And I've converted a lot of customers that way.

Try one piece at a time, then slowly add maybe one more (like a bracelet, and then earrings).  Have fun with it.  Life's to short not to enjoy accessorizing, IMO.

I love jewelry. I design jewelry. And I'm a pretty bold person, so I like to pile it on.  The only exception is that if I'm wearing an extremely bold necklace or earrings, then I'll keep everything else really simple (simple drop earrings or delicate necklace or none at all, ect).

I've been on a chunky necklace kick for the past year or so.  I rarely wear earrings, but try to add a bracelet.

I always wear earrings, but if I also need a necklace I will wear very subtle studs or tiny hoops.  If I am wearing bold earrings, I skip the necklace altogether.  I don't remember the last time I wore a bracelet.

I wear both all the time.  I actually wear *technically* quite a bit of jewelry all the time.  I have 3 rings on my left hand, 2 on my right, 3 studs in my left ear, 2 on my right, and 2 necklaces all the time.  But, because it's all simple (the earring studs are tiny, the rings are plain bands), I don't feel overdone.  Occasionally I'll throw on my turquoise, chunky beaded bracelet too.  I usually have a cuff watch on also.

I love accessories, but I don't usually stray from my everyday silver stuff (studs, rings, and 2 necklaces).  I'd rather get more creative with my clothing, so I keep the jewelry simple.

I wear both...but they're usually not very flashy. If I'm wearing an elaborate necklace (like I have one long one with green stones and pearls that I wrap around a bunch of times), I just put studs in (like pearls).

ETA: the real reason I do this is because I hate the sight of empty ear-holes

I throw a third item in the mix - I love outrageous glasses.  All my eyeglass frams are standout colors and a couple pairs have rhinestones of some sort.

I'm usually flashy w/ glasses and rings and I'll also pile on necklaces.  I do keep the earings pretty minimal.  I like to wear a lot of jewelry, but my glasses, a necklace, and big earings just gets to be too much going on near my head.

I only wear big earings when I won't be needing my glasses.  My vision is actually pretty okay, so as long as I'm not driving, I'm okay without them.

I always have on earrings, necklace and bracelet.  However, it is all about balance.  Don't overdue all you pieces.  If your necklace is chuncky go simple on everything else.
