anyone into bossa nova?

i love bebel gilberto! her music is what i put on on a weekend afternoon to make me feel like i am on an island somewhere.

have you heard of this new band called nouvelle vague? they have been playing them on my local indie station--they're french. anyway, they take old 80s hits and re-work them with bossa nova beats, and there are (i think) two or three female singers with kind of dreamy/bebel-ish voices. it's really cool. i actually heard that they are very young and the singers aren't familiar with the original songs that they are covering, so i think that adds to the freshness of what they're doing. here's a link to the album:

I am a *huge* bossa nova fan. You must get some cds from the masters of bossa nova --Stan Getz and Jao Gilberto.

I am a huge fan of bossa nova and have spent many many nights in Rio listening to bossa nova...

Don't laugh, but my favorite bossa nova compilation is the soundtrack of Women on Top, the movie with Penelope Cruz. It's got a lot of classics on it, and some more popular songs.
