Makeup counter horror story

Has anyone ever heard that you can get a bacterial infection from makeup counters/artists? This happened to my friend who had some makeup applied at a Chanel counter in a REALLY nice mall. Both she and her friend got horrible infections which looked like acne all over their faces, lasted for over a year and through 7 rounds of antibiotics. So scary!!! Apparently its really common in the fashion industry as brushes breed bacteria like crazy.

I don't think I'm ever having my makeup done again!

Wow! I had no idea!  I'm definitely keeping out too...

I never try anything at places like Sephora but I always thought makeup counters were ok since they do seem to be more hygienic..  guess I was wrong...

I went to the MAC counter a year ago and this woman used a dirty brush caked with old foundation. She came at me with it before I had time to say anything. When she was done my face started burning and I used their make-up remover wipes to take it all off. I told her my face was burning and she just walked away and didn't respond. grrrhhh
