So what do you girls think? I think I am over Marissa and her trying to be a bad girl to get back at her mom. I want summer and seth to get back together. I love what she was wear that skirt and jacket. That was so pretty!
Caleb is an ass, but we all already knew that. What the hell was up with Kiersten's hair? It looked like crap. I think that Summer is going to start to like Seth again and he is not going to want to be with her. Ultimately they will end up being the Donna and David of The OC. I actually missed Julie Cooper in this episode. She is such b, but she is usually pretty entertaining.

Suprisingly I like Marissa as a "bad girl." She reminds me of myself a couple years ago. So even though it's defintely not an appealing personality trait, I can relate. I'm also real excited about her becoming a lesbian with Alex. Alex could defintely stand to gain about 5 or 10 pounds. I mean Marissa's skinny, but it's kind of her thing and this is horrible, but it works for her. Alex just looks real drawn.
I really don't want Summer and Seth to get back together. I feel like that's pandering to the audience a little too much. And I don't want her to cheat on Zach. He's a nice boy and very good for her. I love love love Seth Cohen, but I think he and summer should be over.
I hate Ryan and Lindsay together. They just don't make sense. Everytime I see them together I'm like, and you like each other why?
Also, Kirsten is driving me insane. She's awful and no one else sees it. Why was she flipping out about Sandy's office? Jesus, woman. It's his office and he can have it where he wants. And why was she saying he should take his corporate clients and not do charity work? It's not like they need the money, why can't he do what makes him happy. Also, I understand her being upset over the whole Rebecca thing but what was Sandy really supposed to do in that situation? Also she and Sandy have been married for 20 years and as far as we know he's been a pretty good husband. Trust him a little. She drove me crazy over the whole Lindsay thing too, she was acting so irrationally which was especially inappropriate to do to a 17 year old girl.
Lastly, Caleb. I think they made him act totally out of character. I mean yes, he's an asshole, but mainly because he's self centered. He's not out to be mean to people. I really think he wouldn't have acted the way he did with Ryan when he came to his office. I think he would've just blown him off. They're making him way more evil than he ever was. Especially recently he's been a pretty good guy, making the whoe situation extra weird.
i love sandy and his new office! the whole rebecca thing is annoying though. why do shows and movies always have to have people in trouble with the law because they blew up some lab protesting animal testing or something? why couldn't she just have been a drug dealer? white people deal drugs!
the caleb/lindsay/ryan situation is SO frustrating. i hate when i know what's really going on and can't tell the characters on a show. but yeah maddie, i'm also bored with ryan and lindsay. i thought she was going to drown last week. boo.
i think seth and summer were meant for each other! they have to end up together at some point. maybe not yet, but at some point. they get each other. summer has wanted to get back with seth from the second this season started. zach is too nice.
by the way, how is it that zach, super friendly water polo team guy, probably pretty popular, suddenly hangs out with ryan and seth all the time? where do these people's friends GO? i want to start my own show based entirely around the rejected friends of the OC--summer, marissa, and zach's ex-buddies.
finally--so seth is an artiste? wtf--he's been reading comics for years, and all of a sudden he's stan lee? if i grew up reading comics, i'd have books and books of my drawings from as a little kid on up.
Crap!! I new I was missing something last night, but I was too overworked and tired to remember!
Anyway, I read the TVGuide.com Watercooler about it. It makes me laugh every morning, and today was no exception:
The O.C. I hate to hit you guys with another list, but I hear this theme song and lose the ability to form concise thoughts. So here goes: 1. Apparently this is the week for legal eagles to get nostalgic. Yesterday Kevin Hill visited his old prof. And today Sandy's old law-school professor show up and asks him to "find Rebecca." And by Rebecca he means formerly young Miss Blume, the love of Sandy's life — you know, the woman who burned down a nuclear plant. (Oh, those wacky hippies.) 2. Seth and Zach boy bonding over the comic book that sounds like The O.C. "only with powers" was too cute. But, did Summer just say "What are you guys, like, cavalier and gay?" 3. Alex gave the newly truant Marissa her ex-girlfriend's heart necklace. Yeah, that's subtle. Ding! We have officially entered Phase 2 of The O.C. meets The L Word. 4. OK. Lindsay girl, Daddy Caleb offered you an Ivy League education. I know you "don't want anything from him," but at least take that. Please! And, not to side with Daddy Dimmest or anything, but Ryan does need to quit meddling for just a second. Let the Cohens work out Cohen business. I'm just saying. 5. First Rebecca's dead. Then she's alive. Then she's at Sandy's door. Ooooh. Wait till Kirsten finds out.
i liked this episode, except that my tivo cut off the last two minutes of it--did marissa and alex kiss? i feel like they're really been promo'ing that moment and then stretching the whole thing out. anyway, i think that storyline is kind of interesting and i am shocked at how much i like marissa this season--i thought she was the worst part of the show, but now that they have given her something more interesting to do than just drink and fight w/juju cooper, she's kind of better.
it would be really cool if lindsay did turn out to be some kind of vindictive little gold-digger slag and was just after caleb for his money and he caught her on it. what if he was right and that's why she had to shy away at the dinner? i know i'm in the minority, but i think that character is so BORING--it would be great if she turned out to be kind of evil and really has the caleb-blood running in her veins. she's the valerie of this show right? the 180 is coming, i'd be willing to bet.
i totally bought kirsten's angst over the rebecca issue, but it was weird that she was so concerned about sandy's new office--it seemed out of character for her to be so worried about it. anyway, i liked that we saw a bit more of sandy's past and that he has internal conflicts, too--that he's not always as pollyanna as he seems.
and awwww re: seth/summer--i actually think it would be as good for the show if they were just really good friends as if they got back together. i like the zach character, too, so i hope they keep him around.
2. Seth and Zach boy bonding over the comic book that sounds like The O.C. "only with powers" was too cute. But, did Summer just say "What are you guys, like, cavalier and gay?"
That really was the greatest line of the night. I actually paused my tivo and had to rewind to make sure I heard it right. It might be more along the lines of a Seth reference, but still, very funny.

I would LOVE it if this happened! Lindsay and Ryan are too "vanilla" for the show - they bore me to tears.

Seriously. Is it just me or is she looking really rough around the edges this season? Her makeup looks awful, too. I can see every little craggle in her face.

ooh--one other thing...did you guys notice how they were laying the groundwork for marissa to get emancipated from her parents? alex was discussing how easy it was while they were driving in the jeep, and marissa kept asking detailed questions. i wonder if that will be her next drama?
