i'm thinking aviators are going to continue to be big. also i've seen a lot of people doing the oversized glamour shades (think 50's hollywould) but with lighter colored lenses and/or frames in colors other than black/tortoise shell. i'm actually trying to hunt down a marc by marc jacobs pair, but i haven't seen them online yet (this is the first season mj is doing shades, so i figure i have to wait a bit), but when i find them i will post them. these nour ones are examples of what i think is going to big.

or

the 2nd pair is a bit more futuristic, but i'm noticing a lot designers have been doing something along these lines.

I have to agree w/revisiting Old Hollywood glamour & think large sunglasses & possibly Aviators will make a comeback.

I concur with the aviators and the big plastic frames. Apparently the frames are supposed to be really huge for Spring. I am eyeing a pair of Chanel aviators with olive green lenses.

*sigh* i got a pair of oversized shades ( i was so happy to get them b/c i can never find a pair that look good on me and these looked great) and the first thing my bf says is, "wow, you look like you should be in the movie 'a bug's life'."

Grrrrrrrr I felt so glam until then.

My husband said the same thing when I bought mine. Now I'm kind of hesitant to wear them. I just try to remember that he doesn't know anything.

I never go with what is the hot style I go with what I like which is black oversized plastic frames ala Jackie O. I like to look like I just had work done

nyc shopgirl- I am in total agreement with you! I love the big black glasses style also, they just are so classic and glamorous. And a pair can make you look (or is that feel?) famous...hehe

That's how I feel about my Chanels...the day that big plastic frames are considered out, I will still wear mine proud and strong and give people the evil eye if they gawk.

I love sunglasses and I really like bigger ones. I also am going to buy some Ray Ban aviators this Spring, but not the real big ones. I have these Gucci ones and I love, love them. I found them at Ross for $30! I did have a knockoff pair at Walmart for $5 before. Then I really want a pair of Gucci White Sunglasses that are similar shape to pair above but they have the signature green and red stipe on the side. I saw them in some magazine but I can't find a pic, if anyone else finds one, let me know. Tia!
