Well good and bad:

I have a few $50 gc from Nordstrom from x-mas...so I went to order a Juicy white blazer that was on sale for $69. The price was great.

Bad- I think there shipping is way too high. I will only let you use one GC on one order...so I had to pay for the rest, when I still have $200 left....

Good- I paid for ground shipping and I got the jacket in 2 days, packed on a hanger in a plastic bag and it is so cute!!!!

First I should say that I'm totally prejudiced - I LOVE nordstrom.

But, I also have some useful advice. At Nordstrom, they will do a "charge send" on almost any of their merchandise if you go into the store. It's a little bit more work, but it would allow you to use your gift card. The easiest thing to do is use their online chat feature to have an operator locate a store that has the merchandise, then call that store or go into your local store and pay with your gift cards--the store that has the merchandise will ship it directly to you.

Oh I have to say their cs is great.  A shirt I bought went on sale and I got on line and had a price adjustment in 5 minutes.  Maybe you could talk to a cs rep before you order next time and get them to let you use the 2 cards at once or see if they could combine the amounts of each card onto one card so you don't have that problem.  Lots of stores are willing to do that.
