YAY! I'm going to Chicago too!
Permalink Closed

I just finished booking my trip and I'm so excited!  I don't get to go on too many vacations so this is especially thrilling.  My friend and I are going for a weekend in early March, flying in (a special treat from Mpls) and staying downtown at the Hotel Allegro.  We plan to go see the Jackie O exhibit at the Field Museum and then shop away the rest of the time.

This trip to Chicago will signal the end of my 2 1/2 month shopping freeze so I plan to pick up some good loot while I'm in town.  I'm pretty familiar with the State St. and Michigan Ave. shopping scene, does anyone have any recommendations for boutiques and fun shops in other areas?

TIA!

If you're looking for boutique shopping, there are two great areas that I know of . . . Bucktown and Armitage. If you tell me what you like, I might be able to give you exact stores names.

Do you know any that specialize in shoes and accessories (handbags, etc.)?
