It is Rahm Emmanuel from Illinois!  I have to admit I am very excited to hear this news.  I voted for him in previous elections and I also met him at a fundraiser.  He seems like a really nice man and has done wonderful things for the state of Illinois.  Hopefully he will be able to do some good for the party!!

I heard on the news today he was named although I don't know much about his history or voting record.


Is he more moderate or liberal in his leanings? I am just curious to see what type of person was named, it might be a harbinger of what direction the Democrats are planning on taking since losing the presidency.
