im feeling really ugly lately!! i think its bc im in this awful grow out stage with my hair and its like shoulder length and im super bored with it. everytime i get dressed to go somewhere, ill like be wearing a new outfit and have pampered myself for two hours before but i still wont feel very pretty. im tired of looking in the mirror and looking the same, ya know? any ideas on what to do to feel better about my looks without cutting off my hair!!!
How long has it been since you had your hair cut? Even if you want to grow it out, you'd be best off getting it shaped a bit - I am in the same place with mine right now. Nothing I do looks good! Just go in and have a few layers put in around your face - it'll still be long but at least it will do something!

do you have a specific style that you want your hair to look like once it's grown out? is there any way to trim it so that you're still working toward that style but look good in the interim? the only thing is, i'd stay away from layers because they take forever to grow out and i don't want you to be in an endless growing out cycle!
oh and try going to a nice dept. store and asking to get your make-up done. that always picks me up and you don't necessarily have to buy something (though you'll probably want to so be careful!).
has anyone ever used temporary color? ive dyed my hair but never used the wash out kind. i think it would be fun to try that in a color i normally wouldnt do bc i know its not permanent...and when it starts to wash out does it look really bad and does it ever wash out completely?
i love temporary color- i use it to either refresh my color or just to brighten up my week. it stays true for about two weeks on me (i have color-resistant hair) and it does tend to look pretty washed out by the last week or so. as far as conditioning goes, it should harm your hair, as long as you do it right. i like loreal, but natural instincts is fun too.
