I was listening to the radio this morning and a preview for tonight's Lost was on. On it, a person said "She just died in my arms." I think it was Ian Sommerhalder which would lead me to believe that it is his sister Shannon. I remember the previews showed her running away from something and him trying to help her. So my vote is that it is Shannon. Anyone else have any other ideas of who it might be?
Man this show is good!!

I think it will be Shannon too, her brother made a comment last week that she was basically useless and then later Ziad approached her about translating those French documents and she did.
That would be her redeeming moment so she's probably a goner.
i agree, i think it'll be shannon. i'm so mad, i have a meeting at 7 tonight and i probably won't get home in time to see it!! and i live in the dark ages, so i don't have tivo...guess i'll have to program the vcr (after i take it out of its box in the closet! lol) and hope it works...

Ooooh, I hope it is Shannon. She bugs the heck out of me. Not so much because she's a huge pain in the ass on the show, I think it's something about her lips or teeth or something. I have trouble looking at her. It's very weird.
Eek, I don't want anyone to die! I'm more interested in learning Boone and Shannon's secret - whatever it is. I think some people have already guessed it in previous Lost discussions.

I must have missed that, but I think Boone is gay.

I think Shannon's going to get it too. Did you guys see the previews? It shows Shannon running and then they show 'someone' (with long skinny legs) getting strung up by what looks like a booby trap.
I really wish Kate wasn't 'bad' so her and Jack could get together. I must admit though that the thought of her and Sawyer is intriguing.

i am getting really bored with kate, and i was really wanting to like her. she was kind of interesting at the beginning, but i am tired of being beaten over the head with how "bad" she is in the flashbacks--i was kinda hoping she would turn out to be some kind of sydney bristow-like spy. i guess she still could, which would make me happier.
it seems like the writers are trying to make it ok for themselves to team her up with sawyer, though. they have to dirty her up a bit so it seems more believable, i guess.
i didn't see that preview--i didn't know someone was going to get killed! i hope it isn't shannon because i am finally interested in her--the scenes in the last episode w/sayyid were intriguing, and she seems mysterious now and i hope we get a flashback to her story soon.
I'm glad they finally told Boone and Shannon's story. I had an idea that they had some kind of twisted 'Cruel Intentions' brother/sister relationship (and I was right!).
Locke just keeps getting weirder and weirder--drugging Boone so that he had that dream about Shannon dying. What did he drug him with?
Oh and in the previews for next week the polar bear is back. What's up with the polar bear?? Who else's story do they still need to tell? Hurley...I don't remember them telling his story yet. He cracks me up!
okay...i kinda thought there was some weirdness in the boone/shannon relationship too but who knew she was so horrible? i kind of feel bad for boone, she manipulates him so much (and apparently always has)..
ayo - your theory is a really good one, that thought hadn't occurred to me. i wonder...
locke is a freaking weirdo, he's starting to annoy me a bit. and why isn't he trying to hunt?
and yeah, how the hell did not just one but two (at least) polar bears get onto this tropical island?

My DVR was full and it didn't record last night's episode! Waaaaaah! I know it's really annoying to recap the whole show, but what's the story w/ Shannon and Boone? They've got more of a relationship than a brother/sister should? Did she die and come back to life? Just a quick synopsis would be helpful. I don't think they replay the episodes on the weekend anymore...
I think that Locke realized that Shannon was Boone's weakness and that he was in love with her. The reason that he drugged him was to give him a clarity and free his mind. I am assuming it was with peyote because you can get that from mushrooms. That is what Native Americans used to do before they had a big fight. Take peyote (which is a hallucinogen) to clear there minds of all of the crazy thoughts.
They also did that in the movie Young Guns...that was such a great scene!

my darn tivo cut it off right at the very end, with that tense scene when boone comes back from the jungle and realizes it wasn't real, and then locke asks him "how did it make you feel?"--and that's all i got. what was boone's answer? did anything else happen after that?

Boone said he felt 'relieved' when he thought Shannon was dead. Then he followed Locke back into the jungle.
