mini battery question?
Permalink Closed

for those of you with minis, on average how long does your battery last after each charge. i know that it doesn't last the 8 hours, but now my battery only lasts 3 and i'm wondering if it's standard or if there's something wrong with my mini. thanks!

I think that's normal.  Mine only seems to last for a few hours after charge, especially if I'm continually listening to it for those several hours.  I've also noticed that if I've charged it but don't listen to it right away, when I go to listen to it, the battery indicator is slightly less than full.

My bro told me this is normal, so I wouldn't worry.

8 hours??  Eh, who do they think they're fooling , my computer supposedly has a 6-hour battery life, but if I'm on it surfing the net for a couple of hours, it needs recharged after about 2 hours

the battery might be dying, although you haven't had it for that long, right? so that shouldn't happen. but rechargable batteries only last for a certain number of charges and then need to be replaced. in the case of ipods, since the battery isn't removable you need to send it in to be serviced. you might be able to bring it to the store too, i'm not sure.

here's the battery faq. it also has tips on how to maximize battery time.
