My boyfriend mentioned a couple of weeks ago that he would love to go to Disneyland with me, as neither of us have gone since we were kids. I thought this would be a perfect gift for his B-day, the only prob is I can't afford it until about a month after his B-DAY. Is it totally lame to give him that for his b-day when it is not for a month?? I wanted him to be there for his b-day, but it can't happen!! What do you think??

That's not lame at all cause then on his bday you can give him a certificate for it.

If you are buying tickets why don't you go ahead and buy his only and wrap it up for his b-day and then buy yours when you can afford it so that way at least he'd have his on his b-day.  Just a thought.
