How much snow do you have?

I know a bunch of you were talking about getting hit with a storm earlier this week.  How much snow do you have?  Here in Spokane, WA it's been snowing non-stop since Thursday at 4:00.  We currently have almost 6 inches with another 6 inches expected by Saturday evening!  My fiance and I are going to make a snowman on Saturday!  This is what it looks like here right now:

i hate snow...but i did have fun yesterday playing with the dog when i got home.  she loves to run around in it and have it kicked at her...weirdo.  i got a nice little workout though, and quality playtime! lol

I think we got about 8 inches total. Now that the roads are (pretty much) cleaned up it looks really pretty.

We got 16.5 inches here (Ames, Iowa) in 36 hours.   There's like, 15 feet piles of snow all over town, from what they plowed/moved.

I'm in Minnesota and we have zero snow!  It's really really weird.  We do have however have roads and driveways that resemble ice skating rinks so that is fun to walk/drive on.

Oooh...there's a thread about the snow. It's crazy here (Vancouver Island area). No cars are out (it never snows here so when it does we all hide inside and tremble), there's about 8 inches already on the ground and it's still snowing, all the malls and schools are closed.

My dogs are loving it, though, and I am too - althoug if it doesn't melt within the next 48 hours I'll probably be over my fascination.

I think I read that 2005 is an El Nino year -- is that right? That would mean (I think) that the East is drier and hotter, and the West is colder/wetter

Anyway, I am excited because it's basically been raining for a week. It hardly ever rains for more than a few hours here.

No snow in Phoenix, but this is only about an hour north of where I work:

Cars drive south through the blowing snow Tuesday on Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff.

there's a ski resort in N. AZ that normally has to make its own snow b/c we don't get enough...this year they actually have too much.

This is our "river" -- it is normally bone dry. I have never seen so much water in it:

The normally dry Salt River flows heavy west of the 16th Street Bridge in Phoenix Tuesday.

No snow here in New Orleans.  We did get to see a few flakes on Christmas which caused all kinds of road problems.  It's rare that it gets really cold here much less get snow.  However, the little we did get was pretty and made for a white Christmas.

We don't have any snow in Los Angeles (but our storm drains aren't exactly keeping up with the rain that's been falling), but some of the far reaching suburbs got a dusting to a few inches which was the first noticeable snow in 15-20 years. Plus all the ski resorts like Big Bear got hit with 7 feet of snow or something and they're only 2-3 hours away. This being an El Nino year would explain a lot, but it just seems like they don't talk about it like they used to...

Apparently during an El Nino year, the pocket of good weather is in the NYC area...
