Has anyone heard of	Permalink Closed

fungus to the brain? This is an email one of my best friends sent me and my heart is breaking for her and her BF's family: "my boyfriend's mom isn't doing too good...... supposedly she had a stroke a few weeks ago and now....the fungus went into the brain.. it doesn't look as if she is going to make it..... I feel horrible for everyone in this family.. this is so heartbreaking... " the mom is at columbia presbyterian hospital right now... just wondering if anyone had a family member or person they know go through this and recover? __________________

I just googled this and evidently fungal infections of the brain do happen. From the brief info I got they are bacterial related and respond well to an anti-biotic treatment. Sorry to hear this is happening to your friend's family. I honestly had never heard of this before. __________________ ~Ally~
