The new Indiana Jones movie?

I saw it. I hated it. Imo, there was nothing remotely close to Indiana Jones in it. I thought the story sucked and quite frankly, it wasn't Spielberg's best work.

I like all the actors in it and there were some good moments but all in all it was a disappointment. I found the NYTimes review of the movie to be spot on. I'd give it an F but mainly because I wanted to like it so much. Realistically I think it deserves a C+ or a B-.

That said, I've heard other people enjoyed it, so it's probably a matter of taste.

I saw it - I dont remember any of the other Indiana Jones movies but yea this wasn't very good. It was very cheesy, would be a really fun movie for like a 12 year old, action packed with some corny jokes. I was surprised by the good reviews that I read.

How was Karen Allen in it? After reading the article about her in More, she is the only reason I really want to see it!

She was still spunky. I have no beef with her or her character except for small, piddly things. She held her own though.

I still haven't seen it!! But I totally agree with you that Karen Allen looks great for her age - she is wearing a cute cocktail dress on the cover of the magazine and she just looks AMAZING! I hope I look like that at 56!

I saw it and while I thought it was good, fun, mindless entertainment, the ending ruined it for me. I mean, WTF was that???

I just saw it tonight. I'm torn. On the one hand, there was a lot of stuff I did like...mainly Harrison Ford because I still think he's hot

But some of it was just too weird and unlike "traditional" Indiana Jones. I mean, the ants building a tower to climb up to the lady? And the monkeys randomly jumping in the Russians' vehicle to attack them for no reason? And Mutt swinging through the trees with the monkeys? what was that all about?!! But of course, the biggest WTF was the actual plotline. Really? aliens? They shouldn't have resorted to that! I mean, I know all the other films had an element of the paranormal, but this whole thing was just really out of place compared to the other ones, IMO.

Harrison Ford is hot - he is another one that looks great for his age! I hope I age as well as Harrison and Karen! I read your spoiler and I have heard similar opinoins from friends - I still want to see it though!
