i really want to do this program. i haven't actually looked at the book yet, but i plan too. i just have to pick 2 weeks when i know i won't be going out (since you can't drink). i keep reading about it in mags (elle & allure) and i'm so intrigued.
eta: i think i'm going to order the book this week. my main concern is the maintenance part. i don't want to go through all the trouble of losing the weight, just to gain it back after i stop doing the psycho plan.
i feel the same way re: the maintenance. i just read the writeup in elle, which was what had me thinking about this book. she said very nonchalantly that she gained all the weight back, but was glad to know the plan was there for when she was ready to do it again. i'm really on the fence--while it seems like it would work and i'm glad it's getting publicity, i don't know how objective that elle writer could possibly be if she was one of the subjects used in the book. it just seems a little self-serving so it's hard to separate that out from whatever is worthwhile and reliable in her recommendation.
I was interested in it too, to try to get this last 10 lbs off, but I showed the info to my trainer, and she was horrified, and she said there was no humanly way I could maintain it because she knows I enjoy my food too much.
I did something similar to this. I'll post my program here if you would like. It was really intense but in two weeks I dropped two inches in my waist! It was awesome! Unfortunately I gained it all back two months later...but it was cool for a few weeks! ;)
