I'm going over MLK weekend and wanted to know some of the cute boutiques, resturants, and bars. I've been to the mall with the Neimans ( I forgot its name) that has really high ceilings and is one story and want to go back there or to the Neimans downtown, but I also am interested in cute little boutiques. I'm staying in Highland Park.

Also any suggestions for fun places to go out at night? My friends there have a few things in mind but I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions.

TIA

The Galleria is recently remodeled and very nice, www.galleriadallas.com, Gregory's shoes has an amazing selection of designer shoes.  Northpark, northparkcenter.com, and Willowbend, www.shopwillowbend.com both have a Neiman's, but Northpark has terrible parking and the design of the place requires lots of walking.  There is a boutique called The Glass Slipper that I like a lot, it's somewhere on McKinney Ave in Dallas.  The Lucky website pretty much captures all the best of Dallas in it's city guide.

There are so many great restaurants to list, but for Tex Mex, try Gloria's or Chuy's, and for Japanese, try Tei Tei Robata Bar.  I haven't been to a bar (though Candle Room was the last place I went) in over a year, but check out www.guidelive.com for reviews and descriptions of hotspots in DFW.  The "Mr. Dallas" critic is very funny.  For nightlife, I believe that the West Village area is still hot, nobody I know goes to Deep Ellum or Greenville Ave anymore.
