I feel like SUCH a dork b/c I don't see any other posts about these shows, but does anyone else watch One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl?
I don't have TV, and haven't for about 2 years now, but recently discovered streaming TV, and caught up on all the OTH I missed, and through that was introduced to Gossip Girl -
I can't get enough of those shows - I know they're ridiculous and overly dramatic but I still love them.  I just watched the season finales and now am sad they'll be gone all summer!

ETA: Oh, and if you feel like a dork, I totally sometimes watch Hannah Montanta and Zoey 101 and all those other tween Nick and Disney shows wink.gif

Gossip Girl is one of my favorites!
I thought the finale was good...I'm surprisingly more intersted in the Rufus/Lily storyline than the Serena/Dan.

Do you think they (Rufus and Lily) planned for Lily to go through with the wedding just for appearances and that they'll be together by next season?

I also don't see the Dan/Vannessa Serena/Nate relationships holding up, then there would be no reason for Dan to interact with Serena or any of the others...and that doesn't leave room for a lot of plot...unless the interaction is thru Rufus and Lily.

I think i put too much thought into these things....

someone stop me...

Oh and FWIW, I just finished watching the entire series of The OC on netflix. I never watched while it was on TV...and WOW...such a great show. Stupid Mischa Barton...why did she have to leave and ruin everything? I'll bet she's kicking herself now, she hasn't exactly been busy since Marissa kicked the bucket.

Gossip Girl is my favorite show!!  I have the hugest girl crush on Blair Waldorf and her entire wardrobe and I love Chuck!  Interesting what they did w/them in the finale - I thought maybe Chuck had changed his colors for B.  I was pissed off at Dan for breaking up with S though!

I watch them all! I am even excited about the new 90210 next season! Gossip Girl is my favorite and I was really excited thinking that they were going to get Chuck and Blair together. Dan and Serena kind of bore me, so I didn't really care that they broke up.

Now the OTH finally is bugging me...I want to know who Lucas called to get married in Vegas. I really hope it wasn't Brooke, but I just think it is cruel that the writers keep putting them back together and they are divorced in real life.

I'll definitely tune in to the new 90210. I watched the original series all over again over the last year.

My name is joy0302 and I too am addicted to shows that I have no business watching! LOL! I still love the Real World, but in my defense I have watched since season 1 so it has grown old with me. :) I also watch The Hills and like most people can not figure out why. Nothing ever happens and it really is not that great, but I still watch.

Ok, I loved the season finale, but did not like the last 5 min -
First of all, what is Dan's point? He says he understands why she felt uncomfortable telling him or anyone and yet says he doesn't know if he can forget it? And then it seems like he's telling Vanessa when they get to the church that he needs to find a way for Serena tot forgive HIM for what he did with Georgina? And then he told her he wants to break up, and then holds her on the dance floor all night? I don't get it. Mixed signal city.
Also I thought they wrapped up the whole Georgina thing a little too fast. I would have liked to savor her downfall a little longer.

Also I was disappointed in Chuck. I was really beginning to like the idea of him and Blair together, and I loved how the two of them and Nate all put aside their differences to protect Serena.

I also don't think there will be much to the Dan/ Vanessa and Nate/ Serena relationships - that seemed pretty "thrown in" at the end.

Oh, and also, they did away with Nate and Vanessa pretty quickly, huh? I actually kindof liked that too.

It just seemed like they threw a bunch of "cliff hangers" in to make you wonder, but not in a professional way - like they told the story, and then really fast were like "ohyesandthisandthisandthisandthat"

Seems like I must be missing out by not watching Gossip Girl. I will definitely want to watch the new 90210 though. Even my dad is excited about it! I watch tons of kiddie shows with my daughter on Nick and Disney. Our faves (my faves!) are H2O and Hannah Montana. I also love the Disney Channel movies like High School Musical and look forward to seeing Camp Rock.

Am I the only one a little miffed @ the new 90210?  I don't get why they have to recreate that show.  That was my favorite show of all time, and I grew up with it.  They can't touch it, or even come close IMO.  Without Aaron Spelling, how is there 90210?  Also, I'm worried they're going to screw w/the way the show wrapped.  Jennie Garth has signed on to reprise her role as Kelly, but what about Dylan if Luke Perry isn't on the show?  I don't want them to screw w/things...I dunno.  Ok, I'm done ranting!

I'm not miffed, but what I would kill to see is a 90210 reunion movie. I seriously want to know where the characters are now. I'm insane, I know.

I feel the same way.  I don't understand how his elitist attitude, which should repel me, does exactly the opposite.

I admit I have seen a few of the Gossip girl episodes and really liked them. Lol thank goodness I'm not the only one who feels like their too old to be watching but can't help it lol. I was a fan of the original 90210 and can't bring myself to watch the new ones though for fear of them ruining it. I might take a peek if you guys say it's good and I feel brave though lol.

No i'm miffed too.  I'm just not sure what they are planning to do with it and have a feeling it will be sorta like Saved by the Bell when they did the new class.  Same sort of story but just not as good as the original.

Now if we are confessing to guilty pleasures on tv I love watching Hannah Montana every saturday morning.  My day won't start until that show is over.

If you're insane, then I am too. I want a movie! I'm scared they're going to mess up the new show and (as another poster mentioned), it will careen off into a weird imitation of the original series, a la Saved By the Bell.

Exactly!  For example, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling have signed on to appear on the new 90210 - well, hello where are Dylan and David?  I don't want them messing that up!
