*UPDATE*


OK, so our communications officer just confirmed that the ABC World News will air our piece tonight (12/30) at 6:30 pm. A local philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein has offered our RI Chapter a $10,000 challenge match for donations that come in to assist with the Asian tsunami relief efforts.  The ABC piece will focus on his efforts and how it has spurred donations to our chapter.


I *may* be in the piece, I am wearing a pink button down sweater and wearing black glasses and showing Mr. Feinstein a piece of paper. So if you catch the news @ 6:30 tune into ABC and look out for me!

I MAY or may not be on the ABC NATIONAL evening news w/ Peter Jennings @ 6:30!!! (so exciting) A film crew was just in my office filming a local man who is donating $10,000 to the Tsunami relief and I was showing him a paper on camera...I hope hope HOPE it doesn't end up on the cutting room floor! *crossing fingers* Even though I look a MESS but whatever, look out for a girl w/ a long pink sweater and black glasses! :) :) :)

yeah me too Karina! I'm from the RI Red Cross and they will mention a man named Alan Shawn Feinstein. Maybe it will be in the last segment about the amazing people? I don't know...

but my friend in boston just told me that she saw a segment on the national news of my office and of my boss...I didn't see the same thing though...hmmmm. did any of you see a segment about the American Red Cross of Rhode Island on the ABC national news?
