I just checked my company's job opportunities (I usually check every day, but have not checked since Tuesday since I've been out of work) and there are THREE positions I am qualified to do.  I just sent my resume and the job opportunity form (this long form you have to fill out coherently explaining what you currently do, why you want the job, your educational experience, and why you are qualified for the job you are applying for) to all three.  Wish me luck!  I know there's a lot of competition.

I got 3 calls today from resumes I sent out (not for the ones I mentioned in my original post).  I didn't answer the phone though because I wasn't home and I didn't recognize the number.  I don't like to talk to potential employers on the phone without having the job description in front of me.  I learned my lesson because there have been times when an employer has called me while I was out or at work and started asking me a bunch of questions and I couldn't remember the specifics of the position!  I will call all three of them back tomorrow.  One is in the publishing industry (which is the industry I currently work in) and 2 are in different ones.

They were positions in the editorial and marketing departments at my company.
