I got a new phone when I signed up for 2 more years of Verizon a few months ago. I absolutely hate the phone I chose. It's so bad that it is nearly unacceptable - -and I am a really laid-back person.
Who do I contact about this? Verizon or LG? It has been several months, but that is because I have been trying to make the phone work (and secretly denying the problems, thinking they'd go away).
I'm anticipating a hard time getting this resolved. Any tips?
There are other problems, but the main one is the battery dies extremely fast and the phone does not warn me. I'll go to use it, and it has already powered-down hours ago (or days ago)!
I would contact Verizon. Even if you don't buy insurance, your phone is covered under a warranty for the first two years. I have called cingular/at&t about battery issues within the first year and they always replace mine. Good luck!

I'd go to your Verizon store and talk to them in person, if you can. If it's only been a few months since you bought it, it should be under warranty and they should replace the battery for free.
Funny you posted this, I was having major issues with my phone the past few weeks and just dealt with it yesterday. I'm also a laidback person, but I wanted to drop-kick my phone.
Just as a sidebar- you don't have to sign up for each successive two-year contract. Once you get the first two years done, you can just drop the whole contract completely. They will still bill you the same amount each month, you're just not locked in. Phones are all still the same price, because each year you're eligible for an upgrade.
Fight the man.
Oh- and you're actual issue? I would definitely just stop in at the store where you know they're the friendliest. It sounds like your phone's a dud, and you may just need a new one. If you don't have the insurance, I would pick up that while you're there. With At&T, it's only five bucks a month and I can replace my phone as many times as I want for just $50. Our warranty, with AT&T is only for the first 30 days after you buy the phone.

Really?? I just spoke with AT&T yesterday and they told me phones have a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty. In fact they replaced my phone I bought in October. I hate how they tell people different things!!

Actually, iirc, with AT&T you have 2-3 days to return/exchage your phone with no penalities (unless it's an apple product, then there's a restocking fee) and 30 days to exchange your phone with no penalitlies (again unless it's an apple product). The manufactors warranty still stands past that for anything wrong with the phone (such as the battery).

That sounds about right, actually.

It sounds like its defective. I'm with T-Mobile and while the phone I have now I bought from a private party, years ago I had a phone that the sound kept dying out after 7-8 months.
They confirmed that the manufacturer carries a 1 yr warranty on defective product and they sent me a refurbished phone with a 90 day warranty on it. All I had to do in exchange is send the old phone back in the box the refurbished phone came in free of charge. However, they sent it w/o the battery. If it turned out the battery was defective or worn, I had to go out and buy on myself. Thankfully everything worked out after that. Its worth a try.
