I passed my PHR exam!!

Yay!!!  I passed my PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification exam!!  (It is like the CPA for HR people.)  I am so relieved.  I have been studying for this test for 6 months.  It was so flippin' hard, I seriously thought that I was going to start crying while I was taking it.  Ladies, I was so happy when I found out I passed I had a perma-grim for an hour and I was doing the Snoopy Happy Dance down the sidewalk!!


Now I can start studying for the GMAT - the fun never ends, ha!!!

Congratulations!  I'm sure you will kick a** on the GMAT as well!

Congrats, Farrah!  That is awesome.  I sometimes wonder if I should switch to a career in HR.  I've worked on a lot of employment discrimination cases and occasionally think it would be more interesting than practicing law.  Have you ever heard of attorneys working in the HR business, i.e. as managers, etc.?

Actually in most companies the VP of HR or their boss is an attorney.  I recently had a girl in my comp class that was an attorney that worked as a sexual harassment investigator for the city.  She was taking the classes because she wanted to get into corporate HR.  You could also work in Labor Relations which is HUGE.  Truthfully speaking, the legal stuff is my favorite part of the HR field.
