You know those days when every little thing that can go wrong does and it just annoys the hell out of you even more than usual? That is how my day is looking. Feel free to stop reading now . . . as what follows is a rambling rant -
We are trying to coordinate our Christmas travels and festivities within the confines of too many schedules - it's not working, but it is totally stressing me out, AND one of the companies we are set up for auto-payment with is charging us extra and they are only open when I am at work so I can't get my money back, AND my cat needs more medication so I have to coordinate 'the pickup' in Portland from Spokane, AND I woke up this morning feeling sicker than a dog, And my roommate left for 2 weeks and left all his dirty dishes in the sink, AND I almost got ran over by a garbage truck this morning, AND I have to go to lunch with my coworkers today even though I don't have the money to, AND I still have to go to the store, bake cookies, and make 3 batches of fudge tonight after work, ETC, ETC, ETC! ARGHHHHHHHH! I HATE days like this!
<end rant>

Damn, that sucks! I hate days like that. For me, a list is the only way to go. A detailed, with time increments, list. 4:15 - leave work, 4:30 - arrive home; 4:45 - go to store, etc., etc., etc.
Even if the list doesn't work out, I hope your day gets better! Enjoy your lunch with coworkers and maybe have a drink or two after work to calm your nerves. Maybe a few desk yoga poses? Either way, good luck!
yesterday was my bad day so I can sympathize. My heater broke in my car, only on the coldest day of the season so far! ThenI had to ship 3 packages and the shipping guy took 45 MINUTES to ship 3 measley packages @ Staples, because he was feeling friendly and wanted to chat w/ me and take his time...then I got in a fight w/ my mom, THEN to top it all off, upon leaving Target the man next to me decides to spit out a big wad and half of it gets drifted by the wind and lands ON ME!!! Ugh...so glad that day is over...so I can sympathize! Tomorrow is a new day! :)
i'm sorry you're having a bad day, girly! when that happens i just tell myself that i'm getting all my bad stuff over with at once; so you should have some great days headed your way!
ok, but aside, i'm very happy you obviously are well-read in children's literature. people never know what i'm talking about when i say "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!"
This time of year is always full of bad days! But look forward to your days off and concentrate on little pleasures. I like looking at pictures of my animals or thinking about something nice. Take a coffee break or do a little window shopping at lunch.
