wait, owen and i are soulmates...how could this be?! (btw there is an attorney in my office who reminds me of owen wilson...i almost jumped him at the christmas party!)

the life aquatic is at the top of my list, even though i have some reservations about wes anderson's talent. i'm also madly in love with bill murray and i dig noah taylor and jeff goldblum too.

also:
millon dollar baby
the aviator
sideways...which i still haven't seen even though it's playing down the block from my apt.

I really don't care of Adam Sandler all that much.. but I don't hate him... I do enjoy the guilty pleasure of Happy Gilmore or the Waterboy when it's on TBS or USA. But I am kinda really trying hard to hide the fact that I really want to see Spanglish. I hate the title, but I think Sandler plays a chef in the movie. Thomas Keller was hired to train Sandler... and I think they worked at both Per Se and French Laundry. I guess maybe I want to see the movie more for Thomas Keller's influence than for Adam Sandler.

But I could wait til tape.

For me, it's:

  Finding Neverland

  The Life Aquatic

  Vera Drake

  Meet the Fockers

  Oceans 12

  A Very Long Engagement

I saw Million Dollar Baby last night and it was incredible -- one of the best movies I've ever seen, honestly.  And I have to say, Gael Garcia Bernal makes a very hot woman in Bad Education!  He walks really well in his heels.

Ocean's 12 - since the tabloids are so busy fixating on their separate lives, Brad and I haven't had much time to spend together, so I'll have to get my fix on the big screen. Temporarily, of course. That's so dirty - I love it!

Life Aquatic - It looks like The Royal Tenebaums Part II - so excited!

Sideways - still haven't seen it and since I abhor the thought of merlots (so seinfeld!), I really feel I must check it out.

Vera Drake - I'm going to try to find a theatre showing it over the break but I'm thinking I'll have to wait for video. <sigh>

Motorcycle Diaries - same as Vera Drake - I didn't have time to catch it in the theatre

Closer - Can Jude Law get any sexier? I mean really.

A Very Long Engagement - this is probably my 2nd priority after Brad, oh I mean Ocean's 12. It looks so amazing and I love Audrey, she's so phenomenal.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lemony Snickett either but it's down on the list.

For peeps wanting to see Finding Neverland - it was the most amazing movie (next to Garden State) I've seen this year. It really was so good. Bring your tissues and go home right after so you can have a good, long cry. In a good way though.

Also saw Kinsey awhile back. Pretty good. I'm still debating how I fit in the scale of homosexuality. 2, 3 - more? who can tell? That totally makes sense if you've seen it, I promise!

People thinking of seeing Lemony Snicket-- AMAZING MOVIE. I might be biased because I've read the books (appropriate for ANY age, in my opinion), but if you like movies by Tim Burton, this is excellent. Tim Burton didnt direct it, but if I hadn't known, I wouldn't have ever questioned it.

I want to see--

-A Very Long Engagement (anyone know the day it opens..?)
-The Life Aquatic
-Finding Neverland
-Motorcycle Diaries

I wholeheartedly agree. I saw Lemony Snicket last week and it was oh-so-amazing. I too have read all the books, so I'm probably biased too, but the movie was beutiful, the acting was right up there, and Jim Carrey is at his best here (in smaller, more restricted doses). It does feel very much like a Tim Burton film.

A Very Long Engagement (I had to read the book in college and imo it was beautifully written)

The Life Aquatic ( I loved The Royal Tenenbaums so hopefully it is just as good)

I saw Phantom of the Opera on Christmas Day. Emmy Rossum did an awesome job- this girl is seriously amazing. Not only can she sing but she can act as well.
