I finally decided to try Cover Girl's new 3-in-1 nail polish - Lucky reviewed it a couple months ago and said it was fab and stayed on well.  BIG LIARS !!!  I just painted them this morning in a nice deep red called 'Cabernet' - it took me three coats to get the color nice and it took almost an hour to completely dry!  And, now that it's been on all of 8 hours, it is already starting to wear off the tips !  I do not recommend!

That sucks.  I love the illustrative smileys though.  Makes me feel like I was actually there.  I've found in my lifetime that anything that claims to be 3 in 1 or 2 in 1 never works as well as the 2 things separately would have.

I have the old Nailslicks polish in cabarnet and I love the color, plus for a drugstore brand the Nailslicks have stayed on for a decent amount of time.

I tried the new Continuous Color formula (in like Plum Brandy or something, I thought it might be a cheaper alternative to Chanel Vamp) and I had the exact same problem!!!

STAY AWAY from this CG polish!

That sucks.  I know the feeling of sitting down to do your nails, have them look great and then it either chips off the next day or I go to bed hours later only to wake up the next day with freaking smudges all over my nails. So frustrating!

In my experience, Lucky's beauty raves always suck. I think they are really just disguised advertisements. They probably make a nice chunk of change off of them.

The only nailpolish that I have ever had any luck with is OPI. I really don't trust anything in Lucky anymore. I have had the new issue for three days and still haven't opened it!

Have you ever tried the Revlon nail polish that's supposed to stay on forever? I forget what it's called but I use it all the time and it lasts a week when I really put a lot of effort into it. The color selection sucks but it's the clear polish that makes it stay. I use the clear polish stuff over any color I put on and they stay at least 3-4 days without chipping - which anyone who paints their nails regularly knows is a long time!

Plus, Lucky's beauty sections have always sucked. I hate how they do beauty sections based on ingredient or color. Who cares if everything is green this month? I want quality, not mint as my main ingredient!

Blubirde - that Revlon polish is what I usually use and also love.  I should have stuck with what I know!  Do you think Fred Meyer would take the polish back?

LMonet - I don't know if you can return the polish, but it's definitely worth a shot. I used to work at Eckerds and people would bring back cosmetics that were the wrong color or they didn't like and we would sometimes take them back (depending on who the manager was on duty).
