What's your drink of choice?

D's "skinny drink" post got me thinking, what's your favorite drink(s) to order when you go out to a bar?  Mine used to always be raspberry stoli & 7up, but vodka really messes me up, so I try to stay away from too much of that these days.  If I'm not in the mood for beer, I'm wondering what you ladies order to give me some ideas smile

I looooove Cherry Bombs. It's red bull and cherry vodka.

My favorite beer is Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. I've only ever had it at The Pub (I know it's a chain but I don't know how big, so I don't know if you'd have one?). It tastes like beer and whiskey, but in a very good way!

I'm not going to be much help bc I'm a vodka girl, but I love cherry vodka tonics, cranberry and vodkas, or anything with pomegranate.

I like light white whites, Sauvignon blanc or Pinot Grigio the best. For beer, I love Blue Moon. If I am drinking liquor, I normally go diet sprite & vanilla vodka

I usually order beer, but occasionally I will order a Tom Collins.    Ttara's cherry bombs sound very good too!

I like salty dogs best.  If it's a wine-kind of place, I like Syrah, Cab, Tempranillo, and just about any other red wine.

This is my favorite beer ever!  I hate when bars don't have it.  But have any of you Blue Moon lovers noticed if you drink too many, it makes for a nasty hangover?

They are quite filling.  It must be all that wheat or something!  It's worth it though.

Totally depends on my mood, time of day, season, type of place. I tend to prefer old-school drinks. I might have a dirty martini, whiskey and soda, bloody mary, Manhattan, gin & tonic, or a margarita on the rocks. Or just wine.

If you like sweeter drinks, whiskey and 7-up is a nice change from vodka. Tell them to throw in a cherry.

Beah. And more beah. In fact, we're brewing our own right now. We'll see. It's something the BF cooked up, literally.

But yeah, I almost exclusively drink beer with perhaps a vodka/tonic thrown in. During the summer, and depending on where we are I will have a mojito as well.

I believe wheat beer is unfiltered, and the extra sediment in it is what tends to cause the hangovers ... and gas, but I'm sure nobody wants to know that!

I have a few favorites, which is funny because nobody who knows me would ever call me 'a drinker'!

Beer has to be Guiness (or an equivalent porter/stout).  I make an exception to my dark beer rule for Corona with Citron, which tastes just like Corona with a lime but makes you much drunker much faster.  Mixed drinks I like are dirty vodka martinis or mojitos (depending on the place).

I like old man drinks: gin and tonic, dirty martinis (extra olives!)
and margartitas, but only outside, and I prefer them on the rocks. And not made with margarita mix.

This won't help you, but you know that already--I like vodka and cranberry or vodka tonics--but they go down like water so they're dangerous for me! If I want something light and sweet I'll have a Malibu with pineapple and cranberry. No beer for me, yuk!

My taste sways towards the strong and-right-to-the-point drinks. Right now I'm on a Red Bull & vodka kick and other than that, I like Long Islands!

sounds like me! i can't stand the smell of beer, much less the taste! although i will drink raspberry smirnoff ice or bacardi O3. haven't found a wine i really care for, either. when out on the town, which is rare, i order whatever sounds good and is sweet tasting, usually a cosmo, a malibu or a sex on the beach.
i don't drink much. hmm

Beer of any kind is the worst hangover! That being said, I love it. I went through a Stella Artois stage, but right now I'm staying away from it after my disasterous NYE where I had 5 beers and champagne on an empty stomach. cry

I love a good margerita on the rocks!

If I am drinking liquor, I usually choose a flavored Vodka with either soda or sprite.  The less pigment and the better quality the vodka, the lesser the chance for a big hangover.  Pragmatic, I know.

I love wine.  I tend to drink Pinot Grigio when I go out (I actually like red wine better, but because it stains my lips and teeth I don't drink it often when in public).  As for beer, I also love Blue Moon, and I also like Stella and Amstel Light.  I'm not a huge fan of hard liquor, but I will occasionally drink vodka tonics.
