I'm trying to figure out some new drinks to order in the bar that are lower in calories. I know there's a new popular drink out there that's call a "skinny bitch" -- does anyone know what's in that?
any other "skinny" drinks you can tell me about are welcome too (besides a wine spritzer!)

I googled it and it looks like diet coke, vodka, and lime? That doesn't sound very appealing to me.
wine isn't all that bad compared to most other drinks. If you like scotch, you could do scotch and soda. I really wish more bars stocked diet tonic, that would open up so many more options....
I like vodka and lime (gimlet without the rose's or maybe just a splash of rose's lime juice), diet coke and whiskey (whatever kind you like), wine, and sometimes vodka and cranberry - light on the cranberry juice. You could also do a gin gimlet - but again go light on the lime juice.
i just do bacardi and diet w/ a lime. that's my "diet" drink if there is such a thing. USWeekly says champagne is low in calories, but that doesn't really fit in on my drinking menu.
what about vanilla vodka and diet? that could be a twist on the "skinny bitch" ?!?!

Totally boring but I usually just have vodka sodas if I want something less caloric. I think tara's idea of trying out flavored vodka's with a diet mixer is good.
Here's an article with the best and worst cocktails, calorie-wise. XtinaStyles wrote:
Wait.. tonic has calories??? I usually do vodka tonic if I'm trying to watch the calories.
Tonic is sweetened. I think it has 90 or 100 calories per serving. It's soda water that doesn't have any calories.
OMG all these years I thought I was saving calories by ordering vodka tonics................
Yes- I did the same thing too!!! I just discovered this about 6 months ago.
I almost always get a vodka soda. I will get gin and tonics still, regardless of the calories- I figure they don't use all that much mixer if they make it strong. Which I guess gin has calories too, but they aren't "empty" calories
I like gin or vodka and diet tonic, but yes, it's almost impossible to find out at a bar. I always have it in my bar at home, though. Diet Coke and Jack or Rum is good.
