what do you guys think of this "confession?" do you think it was a true confession or some kid's attempt to "impress" who he thought was a high-powered gangster? apparently, and according to his attorney, many of the "facts" he stated in this confession were untrue, i.e. the person's boat he said he used wasn't there at the time, and van der sloot had just met him two months ago, and that there are no records of the call he supposedly made to the netherlands at shore upon return.
I want to believe this is a confession, but sometimes people say stupid things for stupid reasons...
what do you guys think?
(please forgive my spelling if it's wrong, I didn't research my post prior to writing it )

I didn't see the whole thing...just bits and pieces aired on the news this morning...and my only comment is that I feel so for her mother...having to listen to that/read the subtitles...this girls is dead and he's referring to her as a whore and a bitch...that just made my stomach turn.
Why oh why didn't he call EMS? In the end it sounded like he really wasn't sure if she was dead or not. That poor girl and her family. At least the mom has found some closure. They just announced that the tapes are admissable in court.
I watched part of the 20/20 thing last night. I don't know... honestly, his confession did seem like he could have just been trying to impress the other guy. Especially since his details were so vague (ie "a guy, I don't want to say his name....").
Either way, I just hope they figure something out so her poor parents can get some closure.
