***SPOILER****

DH & I did...and we hated it. DH swore that if it turned out to be a Godzilla creature we were outta there.....and so we were about 1/3-1/2 into the movie. Not just that but we got motion sickness....seriously (headache, nausea, stomach ache). It didnt help that we had to sit very close since the theatre was jammed packed. I can see why they kept the whole thing a secret, I doubt very many people would have watched it if they knew its about a dinosaur thing tearing down NY. We requested a refund and got free tickets for next time...

DH and I found it enjoyable. We didn't get motion sickness, but we were in the middle of the theater. I thought it was an entertaining monster flick. Nothing super spectacular, but it was fun.

BF and I saw it this weekend. He liked it, i hated it. I hate handheld and it was completely handheld the whole movie. Had I known that prior, I probably wouldn't have gone.

I felt really awkward watching the NY disaster scenes. Too realistic, i guess. Even though its been 6 or so years since 9-11, it made me think "Too soon".

Also you know very little about the characters so I didn't connect with them. Its very like "so what?" Some dude that you know nothing about gets eaten by a thing? Oh. Ok. Sure.
I really like JJ Abrams but this movie didn't do it for me. Alot of over-hype for nothing. Reminded me of the Blair Witch movie.

I liked it a lot; I thought it was really interesting. I agree with you about NYC though, metric. I wish it had taken place in some other city.
