In the new issue of OK!, Nickelodeon role model starlet Jamie-Lynn Spears (Zoey 101) and her mom announce that Britney's kid sister is in a family way and at the ripe age of 16. According to TMZ, the six-page story in reveals that Casey Aldridge, the boyfriend whom young Spears met at church (for whatever that's worth), is the babydaddy. Britney, says TMZ, thus far has been kept in the dark about becoming a (crazy, crazy) aunt.

Nickelodeon's reaction to its wholesome star's surprising reveal (and seeming loss of virginity)? "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation," the cabler tells TV's Extra. "We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie-Lynn's well-being."

What's your take? No Santa Claus, Jamie-Lynn pregnant.... In whom can we believe anymore? And do you think Britney set the bar low for sis?

I just saw that too! Crazy! People magazine (which I consider pretty reputable) confirmed it too. Poor little kid. Hopefully Jaime Lynn can raise the kid to have a normal life, unlike her sister's fine parenting!

The only other one I can think of is the actress from Whale Rider -- her name is Keisha Castle Hughes. Ironically, she got pregnant right after playing the Virgin Mary in a movie.

Wow incredible. I read an article about her earlier in the year where she talked about wanting to just focus on acting. Whoa. Then again, most celebs are doing it too, just that JLS isn't hiding it by getting an abortion. So it's hard to say.

That was the same thing I thought. I am quite sure that JLS is not the first celeb that has gotten pregnant early on, but many have probably covered it up with an abortion. It is not like she is the first young girl to get pregnant, not that I am saying it is an ideal situation, but it certainly happens. I think it is good that she did decide to keep the baby though and I pray that she will do a better job than Britney at parenting. It is hard to think of her doing a worse job.
