I am headed to Belize in two months, and I need to lose 10 lbs before I would feel confident in a two piece.
I want to start keeping track of my food and exercise, especially since it's the holidays, so I want to start this daily post again.
Anyone want to join me?
Today:
Breakfast: Bagel and LF Cream cheese and Activia Yogurt (trying to get my stomach back to normal after Nepal) Snack: Hard boiled egg and string cheese Lunch: Turkey Spaghetti with whole grain spaghetti and asparagus on the side Snack: Odwalla Bar Dinner: Grilled Chicken, Asparagus, brown rice
I'll join! I would like to lose 15 lbs by the time I start training for my next triathlon, since cutting calories isn't a good idea during intense training.
So far today I've had coffee and almonds. This isn't starting out so hot... Hehehe
This time of year is really hard for me with all the holidays and cooking/baking. And, my elliptical has been broken for a week and it is killing me. I'd just started to feel like I'd found my groove a little (like not feeling like I was going to die 10 minutes into it), and it broke. Repair Man is coming to fix it this evening and I can't wait to use it tomorrow ! I think this is maybe the first time ever in my life I've looked forward to exercising . My goal is to try to be mindful of what I eat and how much I exercise, and try to balance the two. If I was able to lose 5 or 10 lbs as a side-effect of that goal, I would not be terribly disappointed.
B: Cheerios w/ ff milk, coffee
S: lf yogurt
L: 2 cups of corn chowder (homemade, so I lightened it considerably)
S: apple, 100-cal bag of popcorn, tea
D: butternut squash lasagna, green beans, carmelized mushrooms
E: None. We can't even walk outside because we've got 50 mph winds and torrential rain today!

oh thank god for this. After eating a Mr. Goodbar for breakfast yesterday, I was just thinking how I had to be MUCH better. I will be exercising but that's not my main focus. I just want to eat better! I'm ashamed of today but I'm going to put it down just to illustrate how badly I need to make a change for the better.
B: chocolate doughnut S: sour cream and onion potato chips L: grilled chicken, wheat bread, and american cheese. and cookies. Arg! I'm so horrible D: I'm thinking baked chicken breast and rice. I just feel in the mood for something extremely bland.
E: hopefully yoga, who knows. if I go out tonight I might not have any time left.

Homemade . I got it off Recipezaar, but it's originally a Giada de Laurentiis recipe. Here it is. My plan is to use whole wheat lasagna noodles, leave out the amaretto cookies, use rosemary and thyme in place of the basil, and use low-fat/non-fat versions of all the dairy items. Should make it healthy enough! Oh, and you can by frozen pre cooked sqash instead of doing your own. Tastes almost just as good IMO.

I really need to get back on board in terms of eating right and exercising -- the past two months have been so bad!
B: Basic 4 + 2% Milk L: Two pieces of sour candy (yikes! it was a really busy day -- normally I would never do this) D: Turkey and White Bean Chili, Small slice of Homemade Corn Bread S: Slice of apple pie!m
I need to do this too, I have been eating so bad and not exercising. We just moved so it's been a lot of takeout for the past month between packing and settling in. Today was bad, I had manicotti, a coffee, samples from Costco and some organic lasagna and veggies, and no exercise. Yikes, tomorrow I vow to exercise and eat better!
