that guy made absolutely no sense -- he's like, I can't say I love you at this time, so I'm going to kick you to the curb. you would think if he was as into her as he said he was that he would at least see what the relationship was like in the real world. there was no requirement for him to propose at that moment...
anyway -- I lost all respect for him last night.

I was so mad at myself for wasting time on that show! I can't believe he did that. I was wondering why he decided to start walking around right in the middle of everything. I was like-did he hide the ring back there in the shrubs and forget where he put! LOL!! It was really just stupid!
I didn't watch the season but stumbled upon last nights episode and couldn't stop laughing. The wandering around the bushes was hysterical. But honestly I think it was pretty cool, every season they proclaim to be in love and what not finding their sole mate etc at least he was honest now rather then pretending for effect.

I kind of felt like maybe he just totally freaked out...a few minutes before (via voice over) he was saying how nervous he was...and he choked right after saying he had said goodbye to the other girl...maybe it just didn't hit him till then.
I agree with Collette. While the roaming around was a little odd, his honesty was impressive. He did look genuinely distressed about the whole thing, which I find completely understandable.

Ditto!! First of all, why did he buy a freaking ring if he wasn't in love? It's not like he just decided that.
Secondly, just because you aren't in love doesn't mean you should give the relationship a try. He said he cared for DeAnna a lot so maybe he should try to have a relationship work with her??? I mean, I definitely don't expect anyone to fall truly in love after spending that short of a time with each other, but that doesn't mean to you don't want to see what could happen in the future.
I was so mad last night!! Tonight is the "After the Rose" show and it doesn't look like he explains it any better.
