I've had a cold for a couple days, and when I get a cold I am the snot queen of the universe. I got the tissues with lotion on them, but my nose is still really irritated and scaley from blowing it so often.
I took a pretty long nap today, and beforehand I put on my heaviest lotion and after a minute I put vaseline on top of it to "lock in" the lotion. After a 3-hour nap, I took a hot shower and gently exoliated with a washcloth. It helped a little bit, but I'm still scaley and gross. I have an important meeting tomorrow and I really want to look nice. I can't put makeup on my nose because then it just looks worse.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix/help me???
ETA: only drugstore products, please. Since it's Sunday evening all ready, those are the only places that will be open

I was desparate once and found some in my nephew's stuff. Now I buy it specifically for my nose. I don't know why it works, but it helps mine feel and look better. Good luck!

I have allergies and often have that same problem. I use Oil of Olay daily and when I have dry nose issues I will mix a small amout of Oil of Olay and a few drops of my liquid foundation and then put it on. That way it covers the red a little better and helps with the dry skin. HTH! Hope you feel better soon! :)
I also found an Oil of Olay product after having a scaly nose because all of my lotions burned. It's the sensitive skin formula of a plain face lotion (not regenerist, or any fancy line of OOO). Also, you can put some plain chap stick over the dry skin (and then a skin primer if you have one, I have smashbox) then foundation, and it looks fine. The chapstick helps from keeping the dry skin from doing it's ickyness when covered with foundation. If you don't have a primer, it is still usually okay.
